Taming Your Mind
In our search for simple good books on basic g.s., my current favorite is _Taming Your Mind_ by Ken Keyes, Jr. It's loaded with cartoons, simple explanations and examples, and a simple integrating idea:
A toolkit containing six tools for constructive thinking:
He even includes a short appendix in the back of the book for "Teaching Children the Tools for Thinking", with the example of a flower and how each tool can be applied to it.
While the book is probably intended mainly for adults who know little about the kinds of things g.s. pertains to, I'd think that it would be accessible to high-schoolers and bright junior-high- schoolers (and 'gifted' grade-schoolers?). If nothing else, it'd probably be a fun and easy read for subscribers to this list.
