![]() C4C - Catalysts 4 Change - was my department at the www.seen.com online magazine for New Ventures, New Visions and the New Economy. Following the events of September 11, 2001, Seen.com stopped publishing to the net. Past articles still seem to be accessible at Seen. All articles are available through the C4C Archive Directory My first article, Against All Odds used the Margaret Mead quote, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Since most cultural creatives are not even aware of fitting into this hidden, growing segment of society, the C4C Initiative seeks to help rectify this. Offsite links to Cultural Creative related articles:
The initiative is (still) an ongoing experiment in what is being called 'social writing'. Originally, a network of supporters had joined a special listserv to participated in earlier efforts to involve Individuals, Organizations and Networks (IONs) in the co-generation of the C4C articles that had appeared monthly at www.seen.com's C4C department. C4C is still dedicated to inspiring readers with insightful articles, rich in resources. With some aricles now replicated at Quick Topic's Document Review, while retaining their anonomity, readers can easily make comments, create spinoff discussions with respect to each paragraph's content, and subscribe so that on-going discussions are delivered right to their email box. After that, responding to any comments left by others, is as easy as responding to an email. Your email address remains protected, as does your true identity, unless you chose to reveal it. You must however, contribute to an article's comment board before you are able to subscribe, and each article is it's own listserv. The C4C Initiative hopes to inform, inspire, motivate and encourage others to join in affecting widespread societal change. The C4C articles are just one component. No longer active, it was a listserv moderated by myself ( of DreamTEAMS International) and Dwayne Cox of Synergy Central and Coach Universe. Created before replicating the C4C articles at QuickTopic, the panel was intended to involve others in the co-creation of articles, interactive interviews and reactions to the articles under draft. (Please Note! Earlier copies at Quick Topic had to be removed. Links to remaining QT articles are available from the C4C Article Directory.) The past messages are still available for public viewing at the C4C Panel listserv. Individual interviews, and full-length reaction to articles are available through the C4C Archive Directory. Where can I participate in Cultural Creativity discussions? The authors of The Cultural Creatives: How 50 Million People Are Changing the World have initiated a Cultural Creatives Catalyst message board you are invited to freely join. The Cultural Creativity Networkers listserv is also available for more interactive email discussions created for people involved in Cultural Creativity/Cultural Change networking. Topics include strategies for bringing about cultural change in the status quo. Joining this listserv is easy.
