9 Mar 2010 @ 11:44 by : Kindness is a strange thing
It's easy to be kind actually .. just takes a second of consideration !
Sometimes though kindness takes on a different mantle alltogether..
when I was a district nurse in Paris I often had students with me on my rounds.. one of the hardest things to teach them was the need to be tough when it was needed.
For instance - maybe arrive at a wee old ladies house - she wouldn't want to get up out of bed - soit gentille ( be kind ) was the usual plea .. don't know how many of my students asked if 'just for today' we could let the client stay in bed ..
had to explain that this act of 'kindness' could in fact be deadly !
let them stay in bed today - tomorrow it would be the same thing - after two or three days the client would lose their already precarious sense of balance - so for fear of them falling over and breaking a hip they'd probably end up staying in bed all the time - this would lead to bed sores - this would lead to hospitalisation - this would lead to the client thinking OMG I'm ill .. this could lead to them dying ! I've already seen this happen !
I've seen perfectly healthy people being hospitalised for short periods to give their family a break - due to lack of staff it's often happened that (esp at the weekends) the patient is allowed to stay in bed .. staying in bed is sometimes the begining of the end :-(
Being kind isn't about being fluffy and sweet - being kind isn't always easy - sometimes it isn't even appreciated ..
sometimes it takes guts and determination ;-)
So sometimes being unkind ( according to ones viewpoint ) is the best way to be kind LOL!
9 Mar 2010 @ 12:52 by : and then !
and then there's that well meaning kindness - the kind that just makes one want to run away and hide !
My neighbour Anna came round this morning all excited - with yesterdays newspaper in her hand - seems there's an art exhibition ( each year) and anyone and everyone can contribute ..
yep you guessed it - Anna want's me to sign up !!!!
.......... and before you even ask me - the answer is No !

I'm not really quite sure what you mean A-d !
Do you mean discuss all the 'indigestion' one had because of all the poison we'd been fed ?
Quite frankly I think I've been more than a little clear on that one already in a previous log .. I don't see the point nor feel inclined to drag it up again .
I got rid of all that baggage and don't carry it around with me any more - I much prefer to focalise on where I am now and where I'm going ;-)
( maybe I've misunderstood you of course ! )
Your food links are interesting - thanks for posting them !!
10 Mar 2010 @ 18:27 by a-d : naey..food... what...????
I thought I sent links about physical Immortality the NEW FRONTIER !...in human Insights!... and why here???? you might ask! simply because that Insight alone will be/come the trigger for many people to be nice/er kinder towards other Living things (outside of the their own skin) because they will feel Hope they never were allowed/able before to express! which in turn will help them to spontanoues KINDNESS!..It is sooo much easier to be kind towards other Living things when you feel safe trusting (that life will not be ripped away from underneeth your feet any second!...)
that was the idea! :-)
See... I believe this is why KINDNESS really IS such a Big Thing!
