So I was having a conversation with my mother.
"Do you realise you use the word "like" when you speak?" she said
"Do I? I wasn't, like, aware I was doing it," I said.
"You've done it again!"
"Sorry, mum. At least, like, now I can be more aware when I speak." More >

While I was trying to convince Young Anthony that he should stick with mummy's milk for now and let the beer be beer (see photo), a chicken escaped into the jungle.
On my way through the dark forest, I stumbled once again over the white rabbit.
"Where did the chicken go?" I asked the rabbit.
"Since there are no roads in the jungle, it couldn't have crossed the road..." the rabbit giggled and giggled and giggled.
"Hmm.. very funny," I said, "Why don't you evolve in some higher life form?"
"Silly human," the rabbit answered. "Don't you realize that I represent the highest life form on this planet?"
"You crack me up, rabbit! But, let's say you do... then tell me... what's the purpose of all of this? And what makes you think that you and your fellow white rabbits are ahead in the game?"
"Slowly, human, one thing at a time... tell me, and think well before you answer: do you think you ever thought of something that was never thought before?"
I sat down on a liana of a giant, strange, wild vine and started thinking... More >

Debating Democrats quote of the year must be:
"There are more people who have seen UFO's than support Bush" !
The Line Up was there demonstrating an internal party robustness replete with charming regional twangs of intonation. Someone mentioned in addition to UFO the word Anglo Saxon too. The differential twangs rarely cross the Atlantic and so we miss out on the essential lyricism integral to the " 'States ". A longer airing of this banter would have been interesting and possibly enjoyable.

Yeah... out in the woods, today, sitting on a big rock out in the middle of the fast flowing stream. Snowpaw was running around in the forest chasing things that only he could see...
In the depths of the pool at the edge of the rock, deep... cold, bubbles kept rising. Big ones, little ones, rising... rising... pop!
Rather like the 'Evolution of Planets... '
A clean break with the time track and the whole track warrants you... bliss! So Hung, Hung So.

Today I had a hard time finding something to do that I never did before (I try to find something new every single day to beat the routine way of thinking, yeknow).
Our daughter's sudden love for crosswords inspired me to create one of those. Amongst all the "free" downloads that don't yield free programs after all (what a shame!), I found a crossword generator that is really FREE (ware): Eclipse Crossword. Very recommendable!
Here is the Orisha/Ifa puzzle: printable and here the online version... More >

While I was taking a walk, I noticed a fair at the other side of the park. I stopped and watched people on the fair rides. One ride was shaped like a boat that swung round until it turned upside down. It reminded me of a ride I went on years ago at Margate called "Mary Rose." I could hear people screeching inside.
Another ride swung from side to side then went as high as the top of the trees. I noticed a boy was eating a sandwich during the ride. What a cool cat! More >

I've spent a beautiful week in Alicante, located on the Spanish East coast. The tourists that visit this area usually go to the most touristy spot: Benidorm, full of beaches and pubs. But Alicante has many other interesting places, less crowded and worthy to be visited: Altea, Calpe, Guadalest, Jalón... I invite you to travel there with me through this article and have a look by yourself :-). More >
