It's just a billion.

MIND BOGGLING!


The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion' casually, think about whether you want the politician spending your tax money.

"A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into perspective in one of its releases.

A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

A billion days ago no one walked the earth.

A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government spends it."


Maybe this will help focus our needs for fiscal responsibility in Government, something we sadly lack presently.

I just happened to see this posted in an appliance store today and asked for a copy so I could post it for those interested. Apparently it was circulated via email. I don't know who the advertising agency is.
