In keeping with my recent theme of planetary wonders...I also have decided to alternate my older stuff with a new poem.. thus getting back into the flow again. I hope some will enjoy my meanderings.

Blame it on the Moon

Can I blame it on the moon?
It sits in it's net of stars and winks at me.
That sly grin mocks my restless mind, chases my shadow.

Shivered mists and ice sparkles in the sky reach into my malady
and lift the somber darkness into a luminous cold fire.
Your shadow flits behind the clouds and all I see is the trailing windblown cloud.

My heavy heart cries like a mournful loon,
yet hope is strung within me like Heaven's holy lyre.
The music within us all is growing ever louder
in the rhapsody of falling and climbing once again.

Play the melody,
join the dance.

Blame it on the moon.

Wow. The moon, again, with excellent poetry.
