Something interesting and deeply meaningful, came through tonight during our monthly meditation circle at Pathways.
Once a month, we meet for what we call the "Dome Meditation" circle, and pass into a visionary trance for about an hour. Each person in the circle is encouraged to speak out about whatever they percieve. And tonight was a beaut...
The circle tonight was small - a few of the regulars, folks who have meditated together for quite a while. As we went into our group trance - immediately, and almost simultaneously, several of us began to envision some very synchronistic symbolism. It was a very coherent vision, which seemed to synchronistically bind each of us.
We noted that for each of us, it involved some archetypal symbol - and that this symbolic entity was very, very ancient. One person saw a book, another a box (which another person indicated was the Ark of the Covenant). Another saw a crystal, while yet another saw a bird on top of the pyramid. I simply noted a light. While the symbol was somehow unique to each of us, the meaning was the same. The symbol was simply the way it manifested to the individual.
There was the sense that this symbol was a very ancient one. It was a continuous thread of meaning/consciousness that passed back through history, into pre-history, and beyond. It went back through the beginning of our cycle of civilization, back through previous cycles, and all the way back to the beginning of the first civilization - far earlier than any of us had ever realized. It was a timeless thread of truth that had seen many rises and falls.
Through all of the cycles of civilization, this symbol/light has been a constant. It had seen civilizations that were ancient and forgotten even by those that are now ancient and forgotten by us. It had seen each civilization rise, come to a key point in its history, then decline. And it was the idea of these "key points in history" that was most inmportant to note. For with each key point in the cycle of history there is a choice.
In earlier post "Journey to the Citadel", there was a sentient entity called "The Archive" that had described a choice that each civilization must make. There comes a time in the life of each civilization when its members must collectively choose whether to embrace a spiritual emergence, or to lapse back into the pre-civilized state from which it came. And in the case of the ancient world of "The Citadel", that world had chosen the latter. Now only ruins were left.
What the light now seemed to be teaching was that, for some unique reason, we have had multiple chances. It had seen this choice made many times in our own pre-history - with previous civilizations somehow not quite getting it right. And now, once again, we have arrived at this point. And once again we have the ability to follow through and complete the emergence. This is an opportunity for our world like never before. It is one of the simplest, and yet one of the most difficult things we will ever do.
As we enter the emergence - this time, as in previous times, we note a deepening polarity. There are those who choose to take a progressive path of light, and there are those who choose to take a regressive dark-side path. The divisions take many forms, and as the process proceeds the degree of polarity deepens until it reaches a critical point. But in some way, the collective human-consciousness somehow transcends this polarity. How this manifests, I don't know, but apparently, this is the actual awakening.
The sense I got from all of this was that we will recognize the awakening when those who have previously been intractible foes reconcile in a way never thought possible - "The lion lying down with the lamb".
In the end, the message of the light seemed to be that the emergence is possible. Indeed, it is imminent. And ready or not, the time of choice is here.

Craig, thanks for sharing. :-)

ready or not it is time to choose. We don't have days or weeks or years to make a decision, energy is speeding up and change is at hand.

As individuals we have the ability to trancend duality and this is the mechanisim. We can not change the world we can only change our world view and learn to discern to what and how we apply our energies. This is a divine choice and we are at free will to embrace the light and move in divine flow or maintain our stance of ego based duality. Of course you as individual will never 'know' what is a collective emerging and shared journey of discovery, for surely the future is a co-created event?
I wish you all the light of Great Spirit in your awakenings.

I think you are right in that world-change really occurs at the individual level. Each person awakening contributes to the aggregate awakening - and it is this reaching a critical mass that will bring about the shift.
Thanx for your note.
Namaste,
-Craig
