Mark's article entitled "Tell Me About Me" soliciting feedback on communication style was a truly couragious act. He must have alot more personal security than I... 8^)
The comment by Alana, and later by Max, stirred up within me a deep soul-searching question. It is a question that transcends any of us - one about the very basic nature of communication, itself. In "Conscious Evolution", Barbara Marx Hubbard develops the idea of the emerging noosphere - of our species reaching a noetic critical mass. Yet how will we communicate in a newly-emergent world?
This leads to the question of what is the boundary of the self and the collective world in a society where communication becomes more open. What do we share as part of being honest with eachother in the collective mind? And what do we keep to ourselves as part of our own self-hood?
How do we maintain our private lives in a psychic society? More >

In the Bible (NIV) it reads:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away"...
[see Job 1:21 on Bible Gateway]
At about 5:00 PM on Christmas eve, a friend of mine met his sudden, untimely, and shocking death in a lake in norhtern Wisconsin. At about 9:30 PM that same evening, my cousin gave birth to a delightful, healthy, baby boy.
Also, in the days following Christmas, I have observed some truly amazing scenes of healing. I guess the Universe has a way of balancing the scales. More >

1/3/2003 Original note:
----------------------
Hi Folks,
This is a serious and rather sobering request both for your prayers, and for any possible PSI/remote viewing.
I learned yesterday (1/2/03) that a friend of mind disappeared on Christmas Eve. His name is Casey Holt, and he is a UFO investigator in our Minnesota MUFON Field Investigation group. He has not been seen since Xmas eve afternoon. He apparently was visiting family in northern Wisconsin, and driving somewhere in rural WI when he disappeared.
All of the authorities have been notified, and a missing persons' search is in progress. Any PSI visions anyone has, please let me know.
Please put in your fervent heart-felt prayers for Casey's safe return.
Thank you,
-Craig
1/4/03 update:
Here is a picture of Casey at the Minneapolis Metrodome earlier this year. Picture taken by Mike Seath of Minnesota MUFON.
Casey was found earlier today (1/4/03). He had fallen through the ice in a lake in Northern Wisconsin. He apparently drowned on Christmas eve, but I don't know many details yet.
Later 1/4/2003 Update to MN MUFON Friends:
The search for Casey came to a conclusion, when his body was found earlier today: 1/4/03. He had apparently gone out onto a lake in northern Wisconsin and fallen through the ice.
I want to thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to pray for the family, for Casey's soul, and for others in need of consolation, both in this situation, and in any similar cases. I am not sure of the memorial arrangements, but I believe that we will conduct a short remembrance of him at the next Minnesota MUFON meeting.
Casey was a brilliant field investigator and a true electronics wizard. He had conducted many fascinating experiments with magnetic levitation, temperature sensing related to anomaly studies, etc. He had been heavily involved in field investigation of UFO sightings since we formed the present Minnesota MUFON investigator group in 1996. At the time of his disappearance, he was working on a new generation of temperature sensing experiments. I do not know the particulars of them, but he had described his earlier experiments. If these were anything similar, but my understanding is that they were truly brilliant.
In addition to being a science/technology wizard, he was also a true spiritual seeker. The combination of the two had led him to involvement in many fascinating adventures. Casey was a pioneer in every sense of the word.
In all of the time I have known him, I have had nothing but the highest respect for his intellect, his genuineness, and his love of mystery. Casey will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
1/6/2003 Update:
Click Here for the obituary for Casey in the St. Paul Pioneer Press from Jan 6, 2003
On behalf of all of Casey's friends in Minnesota MUFON, Theosophical Society, Tesla Society, etc... Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
Love,

Hi All,
I thought that it would be good to have some cheer - especially after arguing with my cousin, who is a die-hard Bush fan... :-)
I did a search of some websites that give me hope for the future. Here are a few of what I found. More >

A couple of nights ago I saw an interesting documentary, aired on Discovery Channel. It was entitled "Jesus the Complete Story". The program had a very interesting take on the mission of Jeshua Ben Yusef (arguably the actual name of Jesus at that time). It looked at the context of the drama, including the politics of the time period, and described some very interesting themes.
One of the biggest themes was Jeshua's mission in the context of the resistance to Rome. He was looking for a way to resist Rome without violence. Many military messiahs had come and gone. Rebellions had occurred, and failed. For long-lasting freedom and reform to occur, the documentary stressed, was that it would not come by military might - Rome was too powerful. The only way that they would be free was to embrace a spiritual path, and nonviolent resistance.
I was struck by the similarity between the situation of that time, and the situation today. In fact, at times they verbally described the Roman occupation, but the visuals on the TV were of Israeli soldiers today, patrolling Jerusalem, the West Bank, etc. So today, while the players are different, the props are arranged differently on the screen, and the weapons have alot more power, the drama is essentially the same. It is a story of political tension, military occupation and resistance - constant rebellion, and simmering hatred.
The tides of history seem to be carrying us closer to war, yet deep within us, the still small voice of God tells us that the answer is seldom if ever force. The spirit is the answer - the only source of real peace.
Deep down, I wonder if this wasn't at least part of the real message of Jeshua Ben Yusef. A message of peace and freedom through nonviolence preached by this itinerant preacher and healer 2000 years ago. A message largely lost until Ghandi, made it succeed in our own times.
I wonder if heeding this message now is how we might achieve peace in the present day - a combination of spiritual enlightenment and nonviolent resistance to war. An interesting thought as we enter the (re-located) holiday celebrating His birth.
Namaste,

This afternoon, we went to see the Two Towers. What a spectacular movie. At the end of the movie Gwyn and I walked out of the theater in awe and a sense of mystical wonder. I also felt a deep overriding sense of destiny and apocalypse. I felt the idea of powerful invisible forces, opposed to eachother, deep within the foundation of our reality - a deep seated duality that afflicts our world.
One thing that I noticed immediately was how the movie seemed to fit into the endless chain of synchronicity that centered around the Twin Towers theme. As I wrote in several articles, both here and in the PSI room, this theme seems to be an all pervasive one. I can only think that there must be a deeper link, which the story only hints at, but which seems to thread its way through present reality. More >

Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the town,
Not an auto was moving, I saw gridlock abound.
The parking lot full of both new cars and old
The snow was not here yet, but only the cold
With prices reduced, on gifts all around
The economy hopefully soon would rebound
I with my MasterCard, and Visa and Cash
Had bought my last package, completing my stash
Toting my purchases out to the lot
I wondered a year from now what would mean what
Would we be locked in a war with Iraq
Or would peace prevail, with prayer and with luck
As I turned the key, and started my car,
I felt that the cheer of Christmas was far
Yet as the car started, the engine to purr
I felt a sense of warmth start to stir
The feeling that God watches over us all
And living within us, answers our call
It made me feel better, as I drove in my car
This season is time to enjoy who we are
I arrived at my home, my family to greet
I saw decorations, ribbons and wreaths
And looking, I saw the family room filled
With holiday ornaments, stacked to the hilt,
As I continued to take off my coat
A tear of joy rose, and a frog in my throat
I thanked our dear God for this time and place
The best of the season, to this blue dot in space. More >

We just returned home this evening from a concert featuring Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. At one point during the concert, I thought about how - even in our current state of affairs - there are indeed many very wonderful things about our present civilization. One of them is it's legacy of the arts, music, etc.
We must realize that like every organization made up of humans, western civ embodies both human wonders and human faults. And this evening, I found it refreshing to listen to a symbol of the wonders of humanity - as brought to us by Ludwig Von Beethoven approximately 200 years ago.
Namaste,

Reading Shakti's post on the Earth Sanctuary struck a similar chord within me. I awoke this morning with the sense of not being able to see where the next step was.
The most meaningful metaphor I have heard yet, for ones life path is the concept of following the breadcrumbs. The trail will lead you to where God wants you to go. God alone knows how you will fulfill your life purpose, and destiny. Yet today, when awakening, I realized that I was not able to even guess where the next breadcrumb might be. How could I begin to get there? Is it close? Is it far? Does it even exist? Or even, did the birds eat it? There was the sense that life's path is taking me square into a brick wall. The dream that seems so clear on most days, today seemed to be a distant mirage. Somehow, the road had dead ended. Or had it?
As I got ready to go to work, and as I did my morning moment of meditation, What I was reminded of again is that which I am often reminded of during prayer, meditation, and in the events around me. And this is to know that the time when things look their bleakest can be the very time when the hope can be the brightest.
In the Bible is a statement that "Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). And on those days when the next step in the road seems to be far away - when the road seems to go nowhere - it is only faith that keeps us moving.
Shakti speaks of persevering through thick and thin (I won't say what the thick and thin material was...). The highest compliment I could possibly pay her is to simply echo what she says. And sometimes it is only faith - the belief in the dream, hope for that which is not seen - that enables us to continue.
In the end - Faith Manages
Namaste,
-Craig

A week of work is done. The job stress that I was grousing about in the PSI room has passed, at least for a few days. And the next day or two will be for just spending time with family, doing healing work, and exploring the unknown.
In my posting in the PSI room, I noted that psychic and intuitive abilities seem to be supressed under stress - which was abundant at work this week. Now the pressure is off for a few days. It is as if a pressure cooker lid was released - and as if on cue, the synchronicities started happening once again. They are minor, and barely noticabile, but definitely there - a reminder that the God consciousness is always there for us even when we are blind to it for a while.
The Universe is a wonderful and mysterious place indeed...
Thanx,
