Hello everyone and Blessings; As we approach "9-11", and living in America, I have a few thoughts about our coming future that I wish to share. With the world seemingly headed into madness, and hearing the beat of war drums ever louder, I ask for sanity to return to us before we fall from the precipice. Please; Know who you are. Be above the false pride of others. When you have the Goddess/God in your heart, your pride is genuine in it's love. When you let ego motivate your actions, this is when you stop living with your heart, and EGO takes over. We then no longer live with the Goddess, but with our own ego. Ego, is the enemy of the heart. Thank you With Dana's Love, Sylhara

Sounds like you've a good heart and you are sincere in your belief but you obviously do not know the meaning of the word 'ego.' It is not an 'English' word. It is a 'Greek' word and connotes your 'essence' or 'core'. The very 'heart' of 'you,' your 'uniqueness,' is 'your' 'ego.' As your 'god' is made to say in your 'new' testa-ment: ``Ego Eimi Kai Alpha Kai To Omega.'' ``My ego is the beginning (Alpha) and the end (Omega).'' But even this translation misses the 'enormity' of the 'point.'

Research deeper and get to know your real 'ego' and do'nt accept the slop and swill of the english language commentators, dictionarios and lafcadios. Nice to see you here dear.

Hello, my use of the term 'ego' is not meant in the classic Greek context of the 'essence of self'. But in the modern corruption ie; ethos vs pathos. What I was referring to was 'false pride', as the motivator of personality. This....does lead to a closed heart. I have seen it too many times. It is so easy to fall into patterns of not listening to your heart. With Dana's Love, Sylhara.

to the world of the newslog. They can be a dynamic challenging world and good for your ability to answer to vax's comment. You don't back down. I like that a lot. I think of Ego as personality hangups. Back in the time of Greece it probably did have the meaning that Vaxen states but we are a different society with different concepts.

dear kay the word is essentially the same even though it was purposely tainted to confuse. semantics can also cleanse the world of a lot of 'false concepts' introduced through the 'false pride' of those who would be 'masters' and enslave us through perverting, to their ends, the very languages we speak! In any case I'm glad sylhara is here and dana I understood your meaning. ;)
