Even "couch potatoes" who are thus because of a generalized despondency with world conditions had to have taken notice and found reason to hope once again. Love ~ Tricia 25 Feb 2003 @ 12:11 by sharie : Whatever works I do believe it has an impact, I just think protests alone are insufficient to bring about a peaceful world. I think we have to decide where to put our energy. Not just our mental and spiritual energy, but our financial energy as well. If we start putting our money where our mouth is, stop funding war, stop buying gasoline which encourages them to launch a war, stop buying their cigarettes, and their chemicals, and their pharmaceuticals, the rich warlords of the world won't have a dime to stand on.
