After months of pondering, Doug Rohloff still hadn't come up with a catchy name for his Largo Graphic Design business.
He grew so frustrated one night that he turned to his wife, Christina, and said the stress was going to give him a heart attack.
"But instead of heart attack, I said art attack," said Doug Rohloff. "And I thought, that's it!"
Now in its fifth year, Art Attack offers printing for signs, banners, posters, murals, stickers, T-shirts and other promotional materials.
Doug, 40, is a self-taught artist from New Jersey. Christina, 32, is a former communications and marketing specialist for the city of Largo and who also runs her own disc jockey and karaokebusiness.
They are Art Attack's only employees.
"We like keeping it in the family," said Christina. "He's the visual person and I'm more involved with talking to people about ourproducts."
In September, the Rohloffs moved out of their store at 440 Seminole Blvd. and into a larger space around the corner at 152 Eighth Ave. SW.
In an interview, they discussed art, business and how singer Tori Amos helped bring them together.
Is it difficult being together all day long?
Doug: "No. We get along. We work really well together. The work flow always seems to be just what it should be."
Christina: "I think it has made us stronger together. We've always talked about the business. Whenever we would go out to lunch or dinner, we've always talked about how we need to improve and grow."
How did you meet?
Doug: "I used to run a tiki bar in Tarpon Springs at the Holiday Inn and Suites. I needed a disc jockey and she showed up. I asked her to go to a Tori Amos concert with me."
Christina: "I thought he was very attractive. He was very attractive and had a lot of charisma."
What's your favorite part of the business?
Doug: I really call making signs an art. It's the next generation of art. Computers have really taken over. Anyone can be an artist in front of a computer these days. A good 40 percent of my customers come in with their art already done on a computer. We have to keep an eye on it because that's the way everybody is going." More >

LARGO SIGN SHOP EXPANDS
Largo, FL-Art Attack adds another tool to the pallet. Owners Doug and Christina Rohoff wanted to compliment the fabric world, so they added an embroidery machine. Caps, visors, shirts, aprons, fashion totes, and towels are just a few samples fabric they can embroider on.
The owners feel they are now, more than ever, a one “STOP” shop for business owners who would like to be more visible in the community.

“O” = One on one customer service
“P” = Printing, portraits and promotional products (Fliers, business cards, poster printouts, promotional mugs, pens/pencils, stickers, buttons and more)

A feeling of happiness that I feel when I’m with you.
I am amazed at the diversity in everything I see.
So much to experience but yet so much in the way of my soul.
It clouds my vision of seeing and feeling the things that
don’t need to be there in the first place.
If I can’t feel what I want, I’ll just wait till I see you again. More >

I had many thoughts today that if there was even the smallest chance that the person who killed was from the future. Do we know who this person is? Was he trying to stop something from happening in the future. I want answers to who would do this.
These engineers could have invented something very valuable in the future that disrupted life.
I always belived that we will be the first generation of UFOS. Why not we dreamt it!
Was this a termanator? Or a freak of nature.

Largo, FL-Doug Rohloff of Art Attack, located at 440 Seminole Blvd in Largo, is celebrating his 1 year anniversary of success with a ribbon cutting. Doug has played a key role in helping market many local businesses with the variety of services and products he offers. Some of the products he provides his customers with custom mad signage that includes vinyl lettering on business windows, vehicles or boats, banners and vehicle magnets. He also specializes in silk screened t-shirts, portraits, web, graphic and air brush design.
As with most businesses there are ups and downs. Some have said that it is impossible to offer this much variety in one shop. Doug has proven through this past year that it can be done. Art Attack is living up to its name and attacking every aspect of art. “Dedicated professional customer service and providing customers with long term satisfied results is the key to why my customers keep coming back” states Doug.
Being involved in the community is an important element that Doug strives for. Had another nightmare last night…
I was looking to the west sky looking at the Harvest moon. The moon had a spiral stair cases with many people walking up them. Looked like a big space station in Star Wars.
I thought I was looking at a falling star but when I saw a flickering orange flare behind a white candle stick glow I knew it was a missile. It flew above and over us and seemed to peter out about 3 towns away. And fell like gravity all of a sudden started to work. At that time I put my hands over my face and fell to the ground, I heard a large clap of thunder and a few seconds later a gust of warm wind and debris that woke me up before I opened I could open my eyes.
I don’t believe that this dream has anything to do with my daily life. I’ve been dreaming this since I was 10. Could be a memory of a past life… “Vietnam possibly”? I was brought back to this world on Memorial day, 1967
