I too found it hard to believe, but as is stated at the end of the article "all quotes credited to US President George W Bush are from the public record"

When I read the article I wondered if they had simply taken a collection of bushisms and inserted the questions later. The answers do stand on their own so it is revealing of the attitude of the current administration.

"GB: Free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don’t attack each other. Free nations don’t develop weapons of mass destruction."

By his own logic this is a clear statement that America is less free than almost all other countries in the world. hmmmm

"In my judgement, when the United States says there will be serious consequences, and if there isn’t serious consequences, it creates adverse consequences."

This I think is a key point. When you rule with fear, and ultimatums are like pre-emptive fear, then action is the falling of the second shoe. This is not a cause and effect reaction, because if it was there wouldn't be the need for an intermediary enforcer. The same thing works from the other side as well, with the common believe that the government isn't allowed to act in certain ways because if it does the people will rise up in revolt. The ultimatum and the revolt are not naturally occurring but are the result of alpha types taking it upon themselves to represent their class. The action itself is set up in advance so to be percieved as no other option.

I do think that it is a collection of "bushisms", what is very scary is the person who said them holds such a high office, namely the president of a country. Apart from single handedly annihilating English grammar the intelligence level displayed is very meagre.

Must be a joke of mercury coyote this word play between the 'military intelligence' and how smart the prez is. Every time he comes out with a Bushism about how the problem is intelligence, I think "Duh, no shit Sherlock"
