The Gematriculator is a service that uses the "infallible" methods of Gematria developed by Mr. Ivan Panin to determine how good or evil a web site or a text passage is.


Basically, Gematria is searching for different patterns through the text, such as the amount of words beginning with a vowel. If the amount of these matches is divisible by a certain number, such as 7 (which is said to be God's number), there is an incontestable argument that the Spirit of God is ever present in the text.

Another important aspect in gematria are the numerical values of letters: A=1, B=2 ... I=9, J=10, K=20 and so on. The Gematriculator uses Finnish alphabet, in which Y is a vowel.

"Experts" consider the mathematical patterns in the text of the Holy Bible as God's watermark of authenticity. Thus, the Gematriculator provides only results that are absolutely correct.


Just for the heck of it, The Musing Muse had to give it a try and run NCN through the Gematriculator and see what would come out of it.

Hehehe, somewhat disapointingly to The Musing Muse, it turns out that NCN is only 16% evil. But result will vary, of course, depending on what day the test is run and on the content of NCN's front page on any given day and time.

gotta love it. My web site is 60% evil, 40% good. LOL...on quilting...hahaha...goood thing I'll be putting up a revised site next week. Can't wait for my new score. thank god my name is a god's number...no doubt that might keep me one level above hell.

some would contend that the reversed 'pentacle' actually represents the forces of true 'goodness' whilst the 'cross' represents the forces of true 'evil' in this world. inasmuch as "ye shall know them by their fruits" the 'fruits' of christianity, not xristos, in this world have been undeniably evil! ;)

Though, I have a hard time taking the premise seriously, I found the kind of comments it generated a fascinating window into how such things are perceived in general, beginning with Cliff's own perspective:

—"Developing this list was not an easy task due to the complexity of human personalities and the fact that goodness and evilness depend on the perspective of the time. (For example, perhaps many Americans consider dropping the bomb on Hiroshima 'good' whereas many Japanese consider it 'evil.')"

—"If you had scales and put Stalin's massacres on the left side, what could you put on the right-hand side to balance it? Extreme kindness and attempts to alleviate suffering? Curing cancer? Ending world hunger? Charity? Elevating the thinking of humankind with respect to human rights? Perhaps the very best people don't seek publicity for their good deeds; these are the unknown heroes who work tirelessly with the poor and the sick."
