That's what you get when there is no standard programming format, i guess. One thing i miss, which they stopped doing this year, was their series of Alan Watts lectures. I guess my favorites now are Joe Frank, Seven Second Delay, and though i don't agree with his politics very much, Jonesy from Jonesville station has some great interviews at times. Enjoy. 25 Jan 2005 @ 16:13 by jazzolog : Space Is The Place They don't have a history on the site, but I'm sure I used to listen to FMU when I lived in the City during the '60s. They played a lot of jazz then, as did WBAI and a couple other college stations (like WKCR and WFUV). I hadn't thought to look for a stream though. Thanks for the link jmarc. 25 Jan 2005 @ 16:52 by jmarc : WFUV WFUV streams too. I've got it on my internet radio dial. Here's their page.LINK, where you can listen by clicking on the listen live link in the left collumn. NYC must have been a great place to be back then. A real hot bed of artistry in all forms. Probably still is, i guess. Thanks for stopping by Jazzo. 25 Jan 2005 @ 17:32 by jstarrs : Ok! Is that the 'zen' Alan Watts? What a legend, if so. I'll certainly keep a tab on this radio and, by the way, jmarc, even though we have different opinions on certain things, I admire the way you handle being wrong. ;0) (just kidding, of course. Thanks again!) 25 Jan 2005 @ 18:01 by jmarc : "I admire the way you handle being wrong." WoW! ME too about you! Isn't that strange? Yes, the one and same Alan Watts. Maybe they'll bring those lectures back someday. Heres a little bit of a Watts fix for you though, Prickles and Goo 26 Jan 2005 @ 00:10 by jstarrs : LOL! Great!
