Kurt Vonnegut writes about this sort of art in "God Bless You Mr. Rosewater, and maybe you've seen some of it yourself? My only sample of such is my paperback edition of "Venus on the Half Shell" by Kilgore Trout ( a name anyone familiar with Vonnegut will remember).

Now There is a site that collects that cover art from the old pulp science fiction books and it's called Babes in Space

Yes, now you can travel back to the golden days of science fiction, and view such wonders as

Babes with Blasters

Babes in Bondage

Babes of Myth

Alien Babes

Babes with a Grip

RoboBabes

Babes in Charge

Experimental Babes

Babes Under Glass

Now I'm understanding this whole lifelong fascination with science fiction. I never understood how they stayed warm though...
