the point of SCRAPS is to make up poems without rules
the point of SCRAPS is to make up unruly poems
the point of SCRAPS is to have fun
anybody who wants to play SCRAPS, here's the rules
(whoops, i mean suggestions):
go to ANY newciv chatroom, member webpage, member profile, bulletin board, newslog (you get the drift, right?)
find a chunk of text (select & copy it)
open up a blank notepad document (paste your selected text in it)
choose a number: 4, 5, 6, 7
if you choose number 7, from your pasted text, select a group of six words, delete them, keep the seventh word
keep going until you're done with all the selected text
when you're done, fool with the words
add your own, delete some
copy & paste your SCRAPS here as a comment
on your mark, get set, goooooooooooooooooo!!!!
if you get stuck with a media file or picture, just use your imagination
also, you might want to use / for line breaks & // for stanza breaks since the comment text wraps without line breaks
