& moon its beach & sea its whales

as if i were -- poet -- maker -- creator --
could add what to these great truths
other than my humble grateful infinity

let me begin as if i were -- poet -- maker -- creator --
let me end as if -- we are all poets
& then all's not lost between

therefore i am infinity made of words & meanings
& between i choose to please
as if leaf had left seasons' turn to me
& moon its beach & sea its whales
& each child's smile its sun

as if i were -- poet -- maker -- creator --
as if i were me
