15 Jun 2006 @ 16:55, by Bruce Kodish [My friend Elan Neev writes the following from Israel-BIK] Commonsense formula for better life & peace (a message from the heart & mind of a peacemaker & lover of humanity): I think we need to look at the facts before we blame (advice for my Arab brothers & sisters), and also before we take responsibility & assume guilt (for my own Jewish brothers & sisters infected with the psychosis of self-blame & Jewish guilt). Blood shed is painful & knows no border & no discrimination of nation, race or religion. And the family of fallen soldiers grieve as much as families of civilians. Why is it okay to openly & proudly kill Israeli citizens, INTENTIONALLY shoot Kassam rockets into Israeli children’s beds & shoot or slaughter babies in their cribs? Why is it okay to shoot rockets at Israeli homes from amidst Palestinian population centers & thus risk also the lives of Palestinian civilians? Why is okay to shoot civilians walking in the streets of Gaza by Palestinian troops shooting at each other because of political & ego differences? Why is it okay for Muslims of one sect to murder Muslims of other sects in the midst of worship or funeral? Are you not ashamed to defile the name of the great prophet Mohamed who taught you to love & respect & in the all-seeing eyes of Allah?! War is bloody & whoever shoots first is responsible for the "killing of innocent civilians." And it's time that "the innocent civilians" elect a government that believes in peace rather than in destroying the entire Israel & its population (which includes also hundred of thousands Arabs!). And the “innocent civilians” need also to learn not to celebrate when an Israeli civilian buss is blown up with its Jewish, Muslim, Druze & Christian passengers by Palestinian “heroes”. STOP THIS MADNESS. Stop this self-destruction. Stop this hypocrisy. Learn to respect human lives, including your own....not only for propaganda purposes. Stop teaching children to hate & kill & blow themselves up. Stop the shameful killing of Muslims by Muslims everywhere in the Middle East. Stop calling the Jews sons of pigs & monkeys.Start yourself behaving like dignified human beings. Learn to respect human life wherever it is, beginning with your own. And stop blaming the "Zionists" & Jews & Israelis wherever they are as the cause of your own misfortune, misery & misbehavior. Take responsibility for your own action (if you play with fire expect fire) & misery. Take moral & generous offers from Israel (like the painful & expensive evacuation of Gaza) as sincere expression of desire for peace & NOT AS SIGNS OF WEAKNESS inviting more violence against Israel. Reward the Jewish & Israeli generosity & sincere kindness by responding with thanks thus encouraging more generosity. Jews are famous for self observation & self criticism with a desire to perfect their moral image. Show the huge peace movement of Israel & of Jews everywhere – including the Israeli Army itself - that you are worthy of their concern, love & sacrifice. Don’t cause the peace movement in Israel to weaken because of your ungratefulness & foolishness or greed. Help each others, including your own refugees (as Israel helps its own refugees, including from Arab countries), for there is tremendous money & space & land in the Arab world & exercise the famous Arab generosity & hospitality with tiny Israel & it ancient people who also had contributed a lot to the Arab culture & certainly share the same righteous father – Ibrahim & the same great moral & law-giving prophet - Moosah. Use Israel’s ancient culture & moral power & willing skill & technology to build your FIRST PALESTINIAN STATE, rather then destroy your own chances for independence. Don’t castrate yourself with empty “macho”, hateful declaration & foolish false “holy” war against the whole world & the whole civilization & against yourself!!!! You have great civilization & achievements to be proud of. Do not boast in power & shoot at the heavens, or at yourself. Don’t make the world laugh at you & draw insulting cartoons. Focus on your REAL, proven greatness & adopt the wisdom of the sages of your own relatives – the Jews: “Who is a hero? The one who conquers his own (evil) desire!!! Use the money the world generously gives you to feed your starving children & build a working, peaceful, prosperous & happy democracy rather then to buy more rockets & bombs to try to destroy Israel (which you’ll never succeed for OUR ((both Jews & Arab’s Allah)) wills it to survive as it did for thousand of years!!. Do not go against the demonstrated will of Allah. Stop shooting & your families will live. Bless Israel & you shall be blessed manifold (as the Holy Scriptures promise more than once).
