Death visited our home today
with gentle presence and kind hands
he collected a life well spent.

Harvey
1986-2004
A wonderful lad.

sorry for your loss. Harvey looks like a precious spirit.

my heart goes out to you - I have four dogs and when the time comes I'll be heartbroken for each loving one of them.

Heaven's Doggy Door

My best friend closed his eyes last nite,
As his head was in my hand.
The doctors said he was in pain,
And it was hard for him to stand.
The thoughts that scurried thru my head,
As I cradled him in my arms.
Were of his younger, puppy years,
And Oh --- his many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart that's filled with tears
Remembering our joy filled days.
But an Angel just appeared to me,
And he said, "You should cry no more,
God also loves our canine friends,
He's installed a 'doggy-door!"

..........on your loss......
Pets are not pets .....
for they are but true friends in disquise......

Harvey ...... could you say hello to Yoda .....
as you cross the Rainbow Bridge.....
He was my ol grumpy budgie ....(parakeet)
whom I grew to love.......
for his sage wisdom........
He passed last fall......

Thankyou and bless you Harvey

13 Feb 2004 @ 09:47 by martha : just think how
lucky you are to have known and loved Harvey. He is still around you...the unconditional love that pets give is our unconscious reminding us that we need to also give that kind of love in life....

13 Feb 2004 @ 11:31 by amara : Love, love to you
Thank you for being able to share -- reminding us of what we have and touching our hearts.

14 Feb 2004 @ 00:00 by craiglang : My condolences
My two shelties, Molly and Missy both passed away in the last couple of years.
All my life, canine companions have always been with me as wonderful beings of truly unconditional love. My heartfelt sympathies go out to you, and my prayers for Harvey on the other side.

15 Feb 2004 @ 13:10 by susannahbe : Thanks everyone
...for helping to make a difficult time a little easier. I think all of us who know and love animals can identify with each other at times like this....thanks again and love to you all.
