Our Choice:
Any situation can be transformed by a shift in attitude or understanding. Anything can be resolved, evolved, transformed.
Nothing is static, except for maybe a rigidly guarded viewpoint/standpoint. Life naturally evolves if allowed to do so unimpeded, towards our ultimate greater good...our evolution.
We are part of an evolving universe/god/creator/energy, and hologram like, everything contains the reflection of the whole. There is no good, no bad, no right, no wrong, there is just the evolution of a whole system, everything finding its place, resolving and purifying, refining all.
If any energy (e.g. sexuality, anger etc) is distorted, it is due to repression, misunderstanding, misprogramming, misuse maybe, not to any inherent defect in the energy itself. All energy when allowed to run in its pure form, is a clean function that has its place in an evolving universe as much as in a evolving psyche.
Energy gets twisted and polluted, as psychic debris is accrued, generation after generation. Repression and distortion has left us with a legacy which must be understood, for the light of an awakened consciousness can not shine through us when we are polluted by fear, hand me down belief systems and programming which is, for the main part unenlightened.
We are all participants in the universal play, and all have power to change the reflections that we see in our world, by examining our own beliefs fears and programming. It is inside us that the control panel rests.
The world is our mirror, if we are unhappy with any reflection, we have a choice, we can continue to act it out externally, or we can adjust our reality from within...for it is a new era in the evolution of consciousness, and ultimately, it is our choices as individuals that will eventually decide our collective future.

I first 'decided' to become vegetarian in 1981/2 it was just that...a 'decision', it was thought out mentally....it lasted 6 months much like a diet something you try and don't usually stick to...I then started to eat "normally" again ....I loved fried chicken... Wow! the amount of chickens I've eaten!
Then it started. First time, late at night sitting in a friends car eating our "takeaway" meal my favourite chicken and chips (french fries) when suddenly out of the blue a wave of awareness, a realization that struck me to my core....I was holding a chickens leg....the actual "leg" of a fellow creature, and I was just about to take a great big bite !!! :-) needless to say I went to bed hungry that night.
I tried to ignore it and became angry at the realizations that I was having. I knew at a deep level that I could never be "unconscious" in that area again, as though I had been unwillingly forced to "realise"...a vivid awareness had been thrust into my ample lap.
Still fighting with the decision I came face to face....eye to eye...heart to heart....soul to soul with a brown and white cow gazing out through the mesh fence around a slaughterhouses "holding" field....I was irrevocably changed.
Animals are fellow species and are amongst the largest groups of inhabitants of this planet....we are just another species with some pretty dodgy ideas :-)
I have been vegan now for twenty years and very much believe in rights for all of the species of our planet.

From deep within, I am emerging.
Goddess white, and brilliant.
The flame, becomes a fire.
I am incandescent.
I have bathed in turquoise waters.
Dross has turned to gold.
Sunlight fills my being.
I am radiant.
The skin of my youth, now shed.
I recognise my shadow.
Dark corners, banished by light.
I am reborn.
