6 Apr 2005 @ 02:54 by scotty : um ...! 6 Apr 2005 @ 03:31 by swanny : Well Your close My sources more or less say that the internet occured on Jan. 1, 1983 when the "internet protocal" was adopted replacing the previous one. Mind you it was a lot smaller then knee high to a grasshopper in comparison. But its coming along well I suppose famously to say the least it seems. Not sure where its goin .... but I suppose that depends a lot on us folks. 17 Nov 2006 @ 15:51 by TIFFANY @165.155.128.133 : HOW OLD IS THE INTERNET? HELP ME FIND THE ANSWER!!!! thank you 17 Nov 2006 @ 18:32 by swanny : Definition I suppose in order to determine the correct age of the internet you first have to determine which "incarnation" of the "internet" you mean, as their are various stages to what we call the internet of 2006 and even these continue to evolve. The first "global network" would perhaps be a starting point but "network" of what then? ed 22 Apr 2007 @ 00:04 by shea... @205.200.39.248 : realli? is the internet really that yung? cuz im doing a debate and i would like to no what the age exacly is i took ur previous answer plz tell me if it changes netyme soon... 22 Apr 2007 @ 00:45 by swanny : TCP Well Jan 1, 1983 was when the protocal TCP was officially accepted as the global standard I believe. The first internet though was a Military function Arpanet I believe and then expanded into the Universities where an informal group developed it further. You must remember as well that that is when a computer went from a calculation device to a communication device. source = [link] 6 Nov 2007 @ 18:35 by edward green @79.65.229.232 : the internet i think that the internet is about 10 - 20 years old because i have heard allot but that is as prcise as i can get 11 May 2008 @ 19:09 by greg @207.108.214.241 : fags you guys disgust me, you are all a disgrace!! 12 Jun 2008 @ 11:33 by swanny @70.65.2.71 : Global Breakdown June 12 2008 thurs canada Global Breakdown warning warning system policies are inadequate global breakdown is imminent suggest implementing "controlled" global breakdown procedure copy over and happy summer roger fag1 12 Jun 2008 @ 12:57 by swanny @70.65.2.71 : ISS Suggest overriding global command functions and transferring to ISS, the International Space Station well the logic or ? is that a recovery and startup from a possible global breakdown would probably be easier from a controlled global breakdown than a panic driven global breakdown.... this would give a rehearsed start up procedure... although it is questionable perhaps if startup could occur even from a controlled breakdown. So there is that risk if we break it down ourselves how or could we restart it? The probability? Well it would be greater than if attempted from a accidental breakdown. Whether or not we want to chance it? wow thats a dilemma if I ever saw one. ed 12 Jun 2008 @ 18:16 by bushman : lol I know, what we do is fake an attack by people who have lots of oil on our own economy, maybe blow up a couple of really tall buildings, then we have some wars around the globe, while at the same time driving up the cost for the same oil and food, this will make the weak sicker and they would die sooner, efectivly lowering the population. Then we pass laws to keep the smart ones from organizing enough to stop us, and buy off local police agencies. Then we tell the rest of the good people that its all thier fault that the sun is getting hot, but in a way that limits them from traveling too far from home, as we then can brain wash them easyer thru TV since they will have nothing to do but watch TV, totaly controled to see it our way in just a few years. lol. 12 Jun 2008 @ 19:11 by swanny @70.65.2.71 : dejavue ah excellent...plan wasn't that a movie.... Sound of Music or something? we might have to buy the movie rights or pay royalties? hee hee well at least we've still got our sense of humor hopefully they won't tax that to much smiles ed Other entries in Articles 20 May 2008 @ 15:25: Sargasso C 20 May 2008 @ 02:28: Monkey C: Darwin in the Machine 19 May 2008 @ 22:57: Life Immortal 18 May 2008 @ 18:58: Opener of Ways 17 May 2008 @ 23:10: Thought! 17 May 2008 @ 22:46: A Sea Monkey of Trouble 16 May 2008 @ 20:48: Athos's Ethos: ORTHODOXY OR DEATH 16 May 2008 @ 20:41: Athos's Ethos: ORTHODOXY OR DEATH 16 May 2008 @ 20:23: Athos's Ethos: ORTHODOXY OR DEATH 15 May 2008 @ 20:48: For its hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind...
