6 Apr 2005 @ 03:31 by swanny : Well Your close
My sources more or less say that the internet
occured on Jan. 1, 1983 when the "internet protocal" was
adopted replacing the previous one. Mind you it was a lot
smaller then knee high to a grasshopper in comparison.
But its coming along well I suppose famously to say the least
it seems. Not sure where its goin .... but I suppose that depends
a lot on us folks.

HELP ME FIND THE ANSWER!!!! thank you

I suppose in order to determine the correct age of the internet
you first have to determine which "incarnation" of the
"internet" you mean, as their are various stages to what
we call the internet of 2006 and even these continue to evolve.
The first "global network" would perhaps be a starting point
but "network" of what then?

Well Jan 1, 1983 was when the protocal TCP was officially accepted as the global standard I believe. The first internet though was a Military function Arpanet I believe and then expanded into the Universities where an informal group developed it further. You must remember as well that that is when a computer went from a calculation device to a communication device.

Suggest overriding global command functions
and transferring to ISS, the International Space Station

well the logic or ? is that a recovery and startup
from a possible global breakdown
would probably be easier from a controlled global breakdown
than a panic driven global breakdown....
this would give a rehearsed start up procedure...
although it is questionable perhaps if startup could occur
even from a controlled breakdown. So there is that risk
if we break it down ourselves how or could we restart it?

The probability? Well it would be greater than if attempted
from a accidental breakdown. Whether or not we want to chance it?

wow thats a dilemma if I ever saw one.

I know, what we do is fake an attack by people who have lots of oil on our own economy, maybe blow up a couple of really tall buildings, then we have some wars around the globe, while at the same time driving up the cost for the same oil and food, this will make the weak sicker and they would die sooner, efectivly lowering the population. Then we pass laws to keep the smart ones from organizing enough to stop us, and buy off local police agencies. Then we tell the rest of the good people that its all thier fault that the sun is getting hot, but in a way that limits them from traveling too far from home, as we then can brain wash them easyer thru TV since they will have nothing to do but watch TV, totaly controled to see it our way in just a few years. lol.
