In 2004, it was estimated by the United States Energy Information Administration that the burning of fossil fuels constituted 86.3% of the worldwide energy consumption of the human race.

You can also chart fuel use by millitary useage, because the up swing in global use is due to war. This chart seems to cover up that part of the consumtion, since we know when we arnt in war, the US millitary still uses way more fuel than the rest of america. This chart implys, global consumtion as a whole, implying blame on the average citizen rather than the true heavy consumers.
