The Fall

So was the industrial revolution misquided and presumptuous?

Born of a lust for power and wealth void or lacking consideration for the cost and Karma to the mother world, Earth, from which it had arose and from which it sought to distance itself from and bend and shape to its cold and unfeeling will. In defiance, denial and escape from that final fate of made Kings, paupers and all. Decieving and deluding its vain mortality with its pretense and illusions wrought all of the ill gotten profits and spoils of a too gennerous soil and sun.

And thus decieved and charmed, espousing and teaching its false virtures and spells unto its kin, condeming them and theirs in turn to these falsehoods, lies and sins in perpetuity. Forgetting, never grasping, the day, the hour, the joy, of hearts and hands reconciled with a simpler lot and value. Values not measured in money, gold and diamonds but by and of the fullness wonder and richness of ones senses, times and the soul.

Is this thus how we fell?
Fell from the grace and bosums of Good Mother Earth and Great Father Sun.

Observation

It would appear from media and general social observation that humanity or much of it has become or is mentally ill or manic. It seems most apparent in
the western societies and the young generations expressed by hyperactivity
aggression and violence and the mass appeal of various things.
It is most probably the result of increasing appearance and effect of synthetic toxins and chemicals in the diet and environment that are reacting with hormones perhaps to some degree and not a general behavioural attribute, but more so mindless manicness. Apparent tranquilzers have at times been added to the water supply to little or no apparent effect and there is no wholesale solution but perhaps cleation therapy and toxin cleansing. Or so it seems from this laymans view. I suppose another case of "you reap what you sow."

7 Jul 2008 @ 00:41 by swanny @70.65.2.71 : Global Rationing

It would seem in a finite world of one planet that at some
point in development some form of global rationing of resources
would eventually have to kick in.
why because if it is left up to the free market mentality
its seems the greed and aggressive types give little regard
to the welfare of the planet as a whole in their end towards
wholesale consumption, exploitation and profit.
The free market thus is driven without conscience or regard for
the future, with little or no wisdom and foresight and no compassion but a "FAIR MARKET" strategy
or global rationing method could be developed to ensure
the best outcome for all inhabitants animals plants etc.
This is not just some wishy washy touchy feelly tree hugging suggestion
but a logical outcome of a limited resource senario although you must wonder
how much real logic applies in the markets and free enterprise system. Survival is not of the fittest I put forth but
thus enventually survival of the rational and the church of reason. or civilization
new or otherwise is moot and a pipe dream. Maybe the problem thus is that the market is essentially
emotionally driven and not reasonably driven and the easy credit grab has led to
the current environmental deficite and degradation.

2 Oct 2008 @ 01:42 by sir swan @70.65.30.239 : illogical Markets

yo there new civians...

odd or illogical world or economy or market meltdown solution
that rewards basic or seeming corporate and financial sector fraud or greed
with not a trial verdict and sentence but seemingly a collusitory bailout or reward.
Rewarding bad or criminal or tort acts doesn't usually or generally correct the faulty underlying
problem or concern which is most likely and essentially in this instance is the unsustainability and
living beyond planetary means or biocapacity created and the result of
classical economics and additional outcome of which has been
human induced climate change. Yet the solution and the logical economy
is emergent in "ecological economics" with its global ecosystem
parameters...
and frame work
Sadly though too, to much of humanity if not most seems not to have
dealt with their inherent death wish.

Cheers and Carry on...
