Good that they're sending a crane ship. I wonder how the fuel situation is and the fuel infrastructure situation. They should probably have a fuel tanker coming or at hand for the vehicles and airplanes though I don't know how they're going to transport the fuel if the roads are bad. I suppose they should get some kind of commerce going again like hiring young men and women to help with clean up of the roads. As to the 6.1 aftershocks, kinda freaks a person out in the mists of shock. 20 Jan 2010 @ 13:20 by swanny @70.65.13.68 : Housing Sea containers, (sea cans). Actually this might offer a solution to housing and building in Haiti or something like it. Strong enough to withstand the tropical storms if roped down but flexible enough to withstand earthquakes. I don't think they should be tied together to each other to strongly though or anchored into the ground to firmly otherwise an earthquake would just rip them apart. I see a business opportunity for some one perhaps. This happens when you have the combined effects of the sun and moon on a peticular area of the planet. You can also add accuracy by determining the weight of storm water/snow build up and release on the continent. For instance, CA has the San Andres fault system well inland, this means there is more weight added to the zone betweeen the fault and the ocean during large area stoms. Add these 2 effects and you can come up with an accurate probability window for increased quake activity in a given area on the planet. You can also figure in ground temps, and determining where the margin is between the hotest areas and the coldest areas, since cold contracts, and heat expands, there will be a margin of stress buildup in the rock between them. 20 Jan 2010 @ 19:05 by swanny @70.65.13.68 : Thanks Thanks bushman and nice to see you... It was just that I had read some studies that had suggested increased ocean water levels and warmth increased tectonic plate slippage. Has the global tide situation changed then although that would be hard as its based on moon and earth gravitational interactions but there are a few other things that effect tide I assume, I suppose ocean level would too. 20 Jan 2010 @ 20:48 by swanny @70.65.13.68 : fear GroovyGreta wrote:Posted 2010/01/20 at 3:13 PM ETSo sick and tired of hearing/reading about the earthquake!!! Can't wait until the medias switch to another topic. ......................................................................... I suppose this makes me a bit or a lot fearful... too but I try not to let that lessen my empathy and solidarity for my fellow man. We're in this together in many ways and I suppose we've got to work with what we've got and make the best of it or try too. Rise above the fear or not let us be consumed by it and retain some human dignity in the face of adversity. But I suppose it takes all kinds to make a civilization. 20 Jan 2010 @ 23:52 by swanny @70.65.13.68 : Inventory I wonder who is doing the inventory on this? Not sure if a crate of grouch o Marx noses will be of much use but who knows? Whose the inventory manager in the operation and how are the supplies and aid being itemized prioritized and authorized and by whom? 21 Jan 2010 @ 01:45 by mortimer : Awareness Spreads I used youtube search engine 3 days ago, keywords "haarp earthquake", I got 140 results Yesterday 341 results Today 960 results Be interesting to watch how long the numbers continue to double on a daily. And I am glad I don't own a machine that causes earthquakes. I mean, if somebody owns an earthquake machine and there is an earthquake, it's somewhat logical people blame the guy who owns the machine. 22 Jan 2010 @ 14:29 by swanny @70.65.13.68 : Haiti Hold on As a poor and disabled artist and senior heres my contribution. link = [link] enjoy and help out ed Other entries in Articles 13 Mar 2010 @ 23:30: Blessed Land 2 13 Mar 2010 @ 12:42: Blessed Land 7 Mar 2010 @ 00:58: Children of the Seasons 5 Mar 2010 @ 15:37: The Further Adventures of Joy 5 Mar 2010 @ 13:42: Time Passing 5 Mar 2010 @ 12:01: Joy Revisited 5 Mar 2010 @ 11:29: A Study: Bridges and G O D 26 Feb 2010 @ 01:31: Hey Canada 21 Feb 2010 @ 00:43: Olympic Flame Cauldron 16 Feb 2010 @ 12:58: A Message From the Future?
