Spooner and Beyond

Suppose that various interests in society do not agree to abide by the rules of natural rights. Suppose instead they agree that they will play a game of power through the state. Suppose these interests discover a way to inoculate themselves against the rebellion and discontent of the populace who are the victims of their game by promoting popular acceptance of their game. Suppose, in other words, that they write and pass a constitution.

Definitions of constitution:
revered founding document that creates and anoints the state
miraculous invention that satisfies the popular craving for justice
tablets that place the state, legislatures, and laws at the heart of a society
a compact that renders politics respectable
an illegitimate document of no authority that claims to provide society’s fundamental rules and principles of government. Lysander Spooner [link] .

A constitution replaces the priests and judges of old, while fertilizing new unheralded forms of tyranny. A constitution legitimizes political conflict within agreed upon boundaries.

Like the blob in the movie The Blob [link] , "an alien lifeform [that] consumes everything in its path as it grows and grows," the constitution makes the growth of the state an inevitable proposition. Eventually, as the political dynamics play out, the constitution fades into the shadow of an impotent shield quite different than the sacred tablets promised; leaving the hapless public only with remnants of words and feelings, their shield having been forged into chains. VT Cong Candidate Calls for Arrest of Bush & Cheney by U.S. Military - Former Army Lieutenant and a candidate for Congress in VT, Dennis Morrisseau of W. Pawlet, today called for the arrest of President Bush and Vice President Cheney by the American military "if necessary" to prevent an unauthorized attack upon the nation of Iran.

· Open Letter To War Criminal George Bush - I cannot in good conscience call you my 'President'. That undeserved and unearned degree of respect would stick in my throat like warm vomit. - I respect the title, but do not respect you NO decent American does. You are not only a disgrace to your high office, but a debasement to the dreams of our Founding Fathers. Your conduct is untrustworthy traitorous and treacherous to the good people of this country. You can forget the predictable disrespectful letter nonsense.


Interesting how a bankrupt nation like the so called United States of America has another 70 billion dollars to devote to endless destruction. Especially when there are so many homeless in the streets of America and the edutainment industry has had to suffer cutbacks in funding. (sure they have *wink*)

Oh isn't it fun? And all those maimed soldiers and soldierettes coming home again to the good old will not have the benefit of uncles' good will funding for their many problems, missing limbs, missing brains (mashed and mangled), not to mention the sicknesses, as yet to be redefined, caused by exposure to depleted uranium...

Isn't it fun to be an American? Land of the maimed home of the knave.

Oh yeah, and the best army in the world seems to be running out of men to fight its' neverending wars which means they are going to have to rely, more and more, on those wonder hounds otherwise known as 'the reserves.' Who says that killing can't be fun?

As an American-Israeli national, one who has been in the trenches of many an unjust war for both countries...

I feel that it is my duty to bring you another view of the current conflict in the so called 'Middle East' and in the greater world at large.

The piece I am presenting here is written by a man whose work I respect. I don't agree with everything that Mr Avneri has to say, especially where our ''haredi'' are concerned, but overall I stand beside him in his view/s of the currents behind the projections seen, and not seen, in the worlds mass media.

I hope you'll read what he has to say in this piece with the eyes of deep understanding and hopefully sympathy with the ideals therein stated (albeit between the lines).

Well, here goes another article written by someone else! The reason I chose this article in the first place is that it is well written, I think, and secondly that it clears up some ''myths'' about just who is who in the world of Oikos Nomia (House Management) or ''Eco-Nomics,'' a false 'science' with a lot of 'big heads' prancing around disclaiming this and that and, in general, showing themselves up for the pompous fools and retrogrades that they are.

I sat with Arabs, as a prisoner of war, as a terrorist, just like them, in tiny cells from Kfar Yona to Matei Artzi (Jerusalem), Eilat and Tel-Aviv, Beir Sheva and Abu Rhodes, falsely accused, on purpose...

Eventually the truth began to dawn on me. As I became witness to my own humanity I vowed revenge. Not upon Arab or Hebrew, Musliim or Yehudiim, but upon the enemy of all HU-Man kind... War.

In a Nuclear age there can be only one enemy... war itself is the enemy.
