I have a hard time believing people speak in tongues, unless their possessed. I could be wrong and have been on occasion. Perhaps its more of a channeling happening.

Well, it's something that doesn't happen very often for sure. I'm 54 and I've only heard it once, so far, in my lifetime. Everything else has been gibberish babblings with absolutely no edification value (in my opinion).

The language I heard sounded like an inter-laced language. Now that I think about it, it may be the language used by mankind before the "Tower of Babel" and it may still be stored, encrypted, within each and every one of us. We just haven't figured out the "path" (channel) to bring it to the surface where it can be used.

One thing for sure. When you hear it, you'll know you heard it!

that the gift of tongues was to be able to be understood by any who listened... regardless of their spoken language.. or to be able to learn to speak a language in a more rapid time than would normally be accomplished. It is a gift of the spirit to facilitate the spread of truth.

Yes skookum, A room full of people who each speak a different language (multi-nationals) would each hear and understand in their own language, their mother tongue.
