A Poetic Letter
Dear Fragile,
You say you found someone, but then he broke your heart.
Perhaps he whispered, "I love you," and hugged you close and tight.
His smile was all deceiving; your all you did impart;
He pierced you with his steely dart, then promptly took his flight,
Leaving you to think your fate a common twisted plight.
My blood slows down, my heart feels sad for you;
I wish I could console; make everything all right.
I'm compelled to change my style, my tone, in view
Of the screw he put you through; seems quite an impolite;
A slow hand is what you need to get you through the night.
Please, my dear, come close to me. Let me embrace
And let my arms surround you, your head upon my shoulder.
I sense the surge within your veins as tears burst upon your face;
I hear and feel your smothered sobs extinguishing the smolder
Of seething flames which rage unseen within your hardened boulder.
All through the day, all through the night, into the next, and more,
By your side I'll reside till you regain composure
And declare an end to your lonely devastating war.
Fear not to let tears from your heart wash those thoughts and deeds impure;
Tears are made for healing, and crying is the cure.

Hi Marie, yes, I still write occasionally when I have the inspiration and time. Seems both of those have to happen at the same time though.
