We are eternal, MULTIDIMENSIONAL beings. But the sun isn't going to die out for a very long time...so what are you going to do until it does? 25 Apr 2005 @ 00:58 by jerryvest : Ice Age If the sun stops rotating and we are all snuggled together to stay warm, I suspect we would turn to ice very rapidly--are you suggesting that we are in for another "Ice Age"? 25 Apr 2005 @ 16:04 by celestial : So sPARTICLE, LET the "flees" (pronounced "fleas") take the bubonic plague. I didn't say that The Sun was going to die. I intend to enjoy every milisecond of every day. Ice Age? G.O.D. is giving us two choices (letting mankind decide their fate), freeze to death or be burned alive. Then the slate will be wiped clean and a new dominant species will emerge. 25 Apr 2005 @ 23:50 by jerryvest : I say God has "his" Way or Will and so 26 Apr 2005 @ 07:57 by ankh : Here we go again god is a man, eh? God isn't giving us two choices...everyone physically dies, and there are many ways one can do that. But by the time something like you write happens, we might not be here, and if we are we will deal with it however we will - so it's a ridiculous question. ****** ****** ****** G.O.D. is a sHE (the "s" silent). 26 Apr 2005 @ 08:59 by jstarrs : One thing is sure... ...we will all die, eventually. But no-one knows when. We have no guarantee that tomorrow will come before death, so what are you gonna do today? ;0) Why do you say 'god is a man, eh?', Vi? 26 Apr 2005 @ 09:05 by ankh : Oh see the comment above my last one from Jerry. 26 Apr 2005 @ 12:09 by jerryvest : Other ways to die I recognize that God is not a man or woman and that is why I put the """. Anyway, my point is that God's Will will be done regardless how we feel. I take life one day at a time and prefer to be in the moment.... On the point you raise, how do you know that God gives us only two choices--freeze or roast? I like mine medium or well done. :) I suspect that we may die of a virus as they adapt faster than we can find a cure. Cancer seems to take its toll and we don't really know what "it" is according to the oncologists that I have talked with. We are going to die for sure, but I don't think we know how--unless we commit suicide. I found this article today that reflects my belief that virus's are very dangerous for the future of humanity. [link] 27 Apr 2005 @ 19:32 by ankh : Just think about all the viruses and diseases up until now that were deadly until vaccinations and antibiotics were discovered. There's an on-going battle against viruses, Jerry. I think the article you posted made a couple important points - one about the bats that could be spreading disease, and that they don't know why many children are becoming sick. Well, there are three main reasons for this: the lack of clean water and soap, regular hygiene; the lack of childhood vaccinations; and the passing of objects/toys from child to child - and as we all know children often put objects into their mouths and then play with them, share them, etc. That's not so mysterious. Coming up with a cure for diseases can often take ten to twenty years, so yeah, a lot of people will die before cures are found and made. Then there will be new ones to tackle. I only wish more focus would be on things we really need instead of spending money and energy on things we don't need at all. 27 Apr 2005 @ 23:17 by jerryvest : For sure Sparticle, it would be very good indeed if money was spent on cleaning up our environment and taking care of the ozone layer rather than ignoring it. These politicians are all nuts and I wonder how they sleep at night--perhaps they are in a constant state of sleep. I hope they awaken soon, but I doubt it. I don't think that they are aware that we are in total interaction and in relationship with our envirnoment--that we are dependent on mother earth, or co-dependent. Yuk!!! 28 Apr 2005 @ 00:29 by ankh : Hell yeah dozens of things where money is going down the drain instead of towards beneficial uses. Now it's spent making smoking against the law in outdoor restaurants, or installing more traffic cameras, instead of on education or alternative energy. 17 Nov 2005 @ 18:00 by sprtskr : hi celestial what have you been doing and learning lately? 31 Mar 2008 @ 04:58 by Writer @75.174.196.75 : Ankh I was searching for some info on the Ankh and ran across this comment. Is there anything more recent to read ? I would like to learn about this and other related subjects and share thoughts with you. Thanks M 1 Apr 2008 @ 18:19 by celestial : Writer, You can start with Google, Wikipedia, etc. Thanks for asking, I've decided to take a photo of the Ankh that I've constructed (a three dimensional model) and I'll be putting it in a post on here as soon as time permits.
