A Hole in the Pocket.

I truly regret that I voted for President George Bush (even though my vote did not count because the electoral votes for Washington State went to the Democratic Party).
I adamantly reject Mr. Bush’s justification to invade Iraq and his determined stand to maintain his course to continue the war. What a waste of life and resources by all countries involved.

According to an excerpt* in my letter to President Bush, dated December 23, 2004, I now consider him to be “A HOLE IN THE POCKET.”

If the United States of America permits President George Bush to retire from the presidency and collect the presidential pension, then America will be adjudged to have approved everything he has done to Iraq. Therefore, we all are just as guilty as he is.

Exercpt*

December 23, 2004
President George Bush,
The White House,
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.,
Washington, D.C. 20500

In a former math class, I was told that most everything can be reduced numerically. On a previous job years ago, my boss was so bold as to state that everything can be reduced to numbers.

Recently, just last week, I wondered if political careers could be reduced to numbers. So, with you in mind, I slept on that thought. You might be interested in the following which came to the surface. “If the casualty count in Iraq equals or exceeds that of September 11, 2001, then you will be considered as a hole in one’s pocket. As it approaches that figure, your ability to govern will continually diminish.” You’re already over one third (1/3) into approximately 3000!

for voting for Bush. After reading your profile, I'm curious, Daniel, why did you vote for him in the first election? Did you vote for a 2nd. term for him as well?

Seems to me that your values and interests are just the opposite of Bush and the "R's." What's up?

12 Oct 2006 @ 16:09 by celestial : Yes, regretably
I voted for him in both elections because I felt he was the lesser of two EVILS. I vote independently, not the party line so in one election I may vote Republican, Democrat, Independent, and/or Libertarian in the same election.

In the Washington State primary elections, we are required to vote either Republican or Democrat and are not permitted to vote for candidates as we desire. In other words, our primary is strictly along party lines. So the "R's" and "D's" have conspired to rig the primary elections and would surely like to rig the general elections as well but fear having their heads riddled with extra ventilation from an angry public. There is so much resistance to the party line primary elections here that they are reconsidering their stance.

The dilema for voters is to determine a candidate's character. That is difficult.

12 Oct 2006 @ 17:12 by jerryvest : Thanks for sharing your experience...
I would also like to register as an Independent or Green Party, but will then give the "R's" a greater chance of winning. I think that Ralph Nader had the right ideas, but it did give Bush more votes in the long run.

Also, it takes real courage to admit that you made a mistake and more "R's" should stand up and apologize for getting us into this horrible predicament in Iraq and other places in the World. I also hope that Bush will face impeachment for his crimes.

Best wishes,

Jerry

I don't believe AMERICA UNDERSTANDS the CONSEQUENCES of allowing President George W. Bush to retire with the presidential pension.

I can sum it up in three words, "Whoa (pronounced woe) to America."

Well I would accept your apology but I'm canadian
so I don't count...
but I admire your candor in this.
