To the Green-ness

There you are
In the midst my silent dark seclusion
As you wend about my walls
Safe and strong

My fortress dissolves before your determined gaze
Standing bare
Exposed to the light from your eyes
The sun glows within you and I wince and retreat
Warmth flows over me and I look up
Suddenly into the green-ness
You bring my soul to love
Cradling my spirit
In your powerful
Heart

nessie must be silently trolling with exquisite delight knowing that you are bringing her dreams to fore. emerald green used to be my favorite color. now black is...but somewhere in the deeps green does become black...does'nt it? my eyes are emerald green. maybe i'll be inspired, thanks in no small part to your ministrations, to reclaim that ancient font and dive deep into the emerald i so adore. thanks skookum for another powerful piece.
