Gem Dreamer

A quiet glen rested near an oak tree.
By a meandering stream: wild and free.

A figure floats dancing in the gentle moon’s gleaming,
Turning and spinning: lightly gem dreaming.
Garnet, malachite, amethyst, jade,
Wonders of magic, by earth’s ages were made.

Strawberry roan nickers softly to plea,
Yearns to the wood’s darkness to flee.
Green forest in the soft light streaming,
Quickly she rides: lightly gem dreaming.
Topaz, opal, moonstone, calcite,
Horse and fair rider in the pale moonlight.
