THE FOREST GREEN: SUN GOD'S CARESS

Sun God’s Caress

The sun burns my holo-white skin
Needles of flowing, piercing distress
Spare me, oh Ra, from your ire
Stop the transfiguring heat from within
Hide me from the Sun God’s caress
From the eye’s searing temple of fire

Keep my shaded eyes from burning
Let me go down to the deepened ground
Or to safe, cool, watery Neptune’s seas
Though opening my mind is a yearning
When it finally comes, I have found
My soul cannot survive the degrees

Every poem of Marissa since I've arrived has been good. Girl you need to get those published, or at least a chap book.

18 Jul 2004 @ 00:56 by skookum : thank you both
time.. keeps on slippin'
into the future

so many things i should do

18 Jul 2004 @ 01:52 by celestial : OK skookum,

18 Jul 2004 @ 13:39 by skookum : I know all you suggested
it is all a matter of priorities

ps.. im not that attractive in person

18 Jul 2004 @ 20:29 by celestial : Time keeps on slipping
into the future and we get rid of that which isn't important and focus on that which is.

18 Jul 2004 @ 20:49 by spiritseek : that which
doesn't resonate within us we reject.

18 Jul 2004 @ 22:02 by skookum : indeed
taking care of the essentials...that is what i am doing :-)

19 Jul 2004 @ 01:54 by celestial : I, TOO
am sifting out the essentials, trying to eleminate the ones that won't seem to go away (debt) and taking care of (Family & friends).
Quite frankly, my dear, I'm bogged down!

19 Jul 2004 @ 02:03 by skookum : come rest...
