All I Need To Know

Let us gather, make it quiet time,
Soften meter, song and rhyme.

We'll gaze aloft at clouds above,
Share between us thoughts of love.

Leaning 'gainst you when winds blow,
Your nearness, all I need to know.

The gentle soul you carry here,
Banishes darkness, conquers fear.

Though in these couplets old thoughts I share,
'twas the best way to show I care.
