THE FOREST GREEN: Let Go

Let Go

The darkness sleeps
I can feel the cool, soft air
It is breathing, slowly
How the light seems harsh!

It has its place out there
Making the light look good
Knowing; without the dark
There is no light

You open your eyes wide
When you step into shadow
The light edges away
Its burning fingers let go

I face the mystery
My courage flickers
Like a wavering flame
In an airless cave

I reach out and touch…
Nothing; absolutely nothing
The dark and the light
Are one and the same

"As voters we want to know that a man or woman seeking government office has a heart. A little Leo in the candidate’s makeup gives self-confidence, charisma and courage and can inspire confidence in the voters....Planets in Leo, the Fixed Fire sign, bestow the ability to concentrate on developing and expressing one’s own talents and winning recognition for them. They help a candidate or officeholder feel at home in the spotlight, as an actor on the great stage of public life...."

I see dark reflecting the light and the light reflecting the dark and it is to me to be reflecting the All. Everything and nothing at the same time. Nice poem at the right time.
