Where Does He Walk?

Where does this man walk, shadows before him?
Where are his thoughts, what goes afore him?
How will he choose the course that he follows,
Stuck in his own selfish maze he now wallows?

Can the light reach him in his dark lonely prison,
Letting voices and murmurs drive him from reason?
Will his eyes look above to find clarity floating,
Or into the depths to find Ignorance gloating?

It may be dark in the depths but at the core is the crystal, the lattice the matrix that contains every thought since the fall, its not really a maze when you've been here all along, it's a for the duration ticket secured all around by stone walls four thousand miles thick.

couplets no less.. sounds like rap.. ack

but the content.. yes.. so aren't we all trying to see... past the maze? Maybe the secret is looking where you can see, or being willing to look.
