Abstract Thought

Am I imprisoned by my limiting concepts of my world and myself? Where in the path of self-realization did my thoughts and feelings send me to odd paths and darkly lit alleys?
Have I built my pyre of self-doubt myself, with the help my erroneous thoughts? When I travel to those barely visible trails of abstract thought, how do I know the real from the fantasy?
Awareness. Yes that is the key. Perception. Are we paying attention? We cannot take our feelings and experiences to any place of truth or power without taking our abstracts and giving them the gift of reality. The gift of knowing, really knowing it is real.
So, make stillness within you and listen, and ponder. Do some thinking. Try some ideas out; discard that which you do not need.
Perhaps there is light after all before us. May we all find it and carry it within us.
