THE FOREST GREEN: Beyond the Storm

Beyond the Storm

The gray sky sits
Like a sodden blanket
A suffocating pall
My deep breathing
Does not dispel it

Stamping my feet
I gather myself together
“Come now winds!”
“Shine forth sun!”
So I gaze and wait

Within I find the fire
My own sun inside
Why should I wait ?
The sun is with me
And I am with you

Together we walk
Sharing our light
Above the clouds
Beyond the storms
Fire in our wake

15 Jan 2006 @ 11:02 by jstarrs : Can I put this on the Poet Tree, also?
..there seems to be some kind of conflict with my own log and Poet Tree, since I admin both and the Poet Treet post button's disappeared again...
I'll ask Ming.
