look behind it----->

The Doorway

In that breath between moments
There is a presence
Reaching to that elusive place
It slips quietly away

Again, behind me in a whisper
A rush of warmth
Mistrusting, I seek to understand
It is gone again

Awareness brings illumination
Am I in danger?
Peaceful intention enfolds me
No. I am safe.

Shall I open the doorway?
I peer into the void
What do you want my friend?
Take my hand

My dear, it has been too long
Come set awhile
Keep me safe by your side
Be with me again
