Windy Night

brrr

Windy Night

Rattle...the winds shake the windows
Peeping glowing eyes peer in
Here they are
Furry, purry cats with ruffled whiskers
They saunter in with vague urgency
Not gracious to be too rushed
Half lidded moonstone eyes look askance
Nice bit of food, a vocal comment
A warm bed in a windless room
They conquer with soft claws
Purring as though they surrender

Excuse me?

No response.
