In the space between here and there

Between Here and There

In the space between here and there
Another world sleeps and wakes.
Hoisting their own sunrises and sunsets
With them on their unknown journeys.

Have we in our numbing, sleeping dreams,
Walked those alleys along hidden roads?
We know this place, all crystal and light.
There is no pretending ignorance now.

When we meet in daylight’s acrid reality,
I feel so much is unsaid between us.
Perchance if amongst the facets we pass
Remember, in any world, I love you.
