THE FOREST GREEN: All things as they should be...

I was traveling home from dropping of kids to school.. when I saw a young man with a backpack rushing with all his might to the bus stop. The bus pulls away just as he gets across the street. His obvious ire was perfectly expressed in his jumping down, throwing his back pack and shouting various colorful expletives...

I simply could not bear it any longer. I pulled over and offered him a ride. His thin flushed face was startled at my offer, but he didn't refuse and slid in to the seat next to me. He then explained to me that the bus driver doesn't follow his schedule. He goes to all his stops early in order to get to the roach coach to get some food near one of his stops. This of course is probably against the rules and downright disrespectful to his fares. He had just gotten off work and was heading to college to make his classes.
I explained to the young man that I would take him to light rail and he would get to his classes in plenty of time since the bus takes its good time getting to the rail station. His gratitude was expressed and he thanked me and didn't know what he could do to thank me. I told him..."Just do something nice to someone else."
