I write on this Easter Sunday to share a poem I wrote over the last two years out of despair... for the errors of myself... and my beloved America.
While it is written from a "we" perspective to a single nation, it represents the cries of my many "selves" to many "selves" of my America.

WE NEED A DREAM
Like never before
The dream of all dreams
The dream of all time
We need a dream
To heal
The most fearful of souls
Broken of hearts
Sickly of bodies
Disturbed of minds
We need a dream
To transmute
The most hideous of hate
Ghastly of greed
Rigid of righteousness
Lowest of laziness
We need a dream
To inspire
The most uninspirable
Most disenchanted
Most adversarial
And the rest of the world

We (WeNeedaDream.org) are a newly forming group seeking a few key champions for a quest we see as critical to our world… described in the below email draft and in [link]
We immediately seek a website designer who resonates with this quest… to transform our raw material into an inspiring and bridging miracle, touching and moving people from all walks of life (especially the most rigid, righteous, fearful, dogmatic, etc.)

Dear Seekers of Peace, Love, Good, and God,
We write to offer and seek a vision
that will inspire and unite humanity
to transmute our worst nightmares
into the greatest miracle ever
Our current world path has high risk of collapse
However… opportunities are even higher
IF… enough people unite on a shared dream
bridging all barriers: e.g. race, religion, nation, EGO, etc.
We see Americans leading this quest
not with arrogant pride… but with humble service
