The Mayan first name is the number and sun sign combined, and it takes 260 days (13 numbers X 20 sun signs) to represent all of the combinations in the Tzolkin calendar. For those born on Feb 3rd 1956, their first name would be 'Duality Seed' but I have no idea what that would sound like in Mayan. :-) What I have been doing in these posts is simply writing out the number and sun sign for that particular day. Each one of these advances by one unit per day and it takes 260 days before the pattern starts to repeat. Tomorrow I'll write out the Two / Duality description, and the Earth description. It will take twenty days to complete all the Sun Sign descriptions. I was thinking that with the blog entry and the comments capabilites that this 'thought for the day' might create some type of collective connection. Our own personal connection would be where our own 'First Name' lies in relation to the 'Name of the Day' according to the wheel of four directions that I verbally described in the introductory post. (Wish I wasn't so imagely challenged, but that will have to wait for the new computer) I think I hear what you are saying about the Unity Marie. I am a Unity Transformer. Today I have been absorbing the experience of yesterday. It was quite a day, my very first Shaman Sweat Lodge. The day before that I was thinking of going, and then when discussing the ride arrangements, and food and money aspects decided I would wait for next time since it was too short of notice. Then when I got home and typed in the entry for Ascension Eagle day my inner voices told me to get my butt in gear so I landed up going anyway. Glad I did. It was a powerful day for myself. On a more serious note I've been seeing trends that deal with ascension and looking at bigger picture. Also I'm spending time contemplating the dangers of solipstic thinking which is something that I need to be very careful about these days. For example yesterday around about 2:00 we were engaged in prayer circle where we went around the circle and each person made their prayer to the elders and almost all of them concerned the collective rather than the personal, and specifically the rising above consumerism and materialism. With each of these lofty intentions or requests the shaman would throw a scoop of water on the rocks making this huge crashing sound and the heat was getting unbearable, it was very intense. Today I find out that one time zone away, which would have been around 3:00 the West Edmonton mall was getting hit with a huge cloud burst, 200 year storm they were calling it, caused by cold downdraft hitting a rising heat wave. I don't think anybody was thinking of the mall but there was a theme of cleansing the earth of consumerism and materialism and those exact words came up. Its very difficult not to feel a solipstic connection between these two events. Perhaps it is best to think it wasn't us but the will of the ancestors that we were praying to. Unity eh? #1 for the US today And #2 dissonance that which is coming apart- the dance of polarities comes to mind being on the opposite side of the world, I find humour in the 1 and the 2 of this disodance-heheh! I am feeling the poles doing a tightrope dance with me today as I embrace dissonance and unity. So thanks Ov, hehe. I have decided to start here and finish in my own log, as it all of a sudden got long so fast, my writing. So for now just a quick reply to Marie, and I am off to do other things. Writing has been my meditation/healing and creative outlet for a good portion today. Marie your comment: I suppose if I'm continually growing I won't be connected to the same person for too long as we drift apart on our paths. I feel inspired to challenge these words and the belief pattern, as I perceive that as one grows, one becomes more choice-ful. Drifting does not sound like either are choosing or taking responsibility for the relationship. And if one grows, will the other grow in ways that allows the connectivity or even growth to be a part of that relationship? If not, why? Marie, what makes you feel you will not be connected to the same person for too long, if you grow lots? Has that been your experience? Some believe as one comes to grow more enlightened that they will become more alone. I say, Bah hum bug! Maybe for a temporary duration we require some solitary time in and thru that process. I wrote the piece today, however edited and posted it the following day, our Weds! I thank you for your words and sharings. My continuing thoughts, feelings and creative expressions are coming to the surface akin to a volcanic eruption, look out, thar she blows!! Yes I really feel like I have opened myself to something really good. A lot of it has to do with a three card reading that you provided a link to awhile back, and since then I've had this feeling that this was going to be one of those magic summers and here it is. The three card reading that I got was that the problem was belief and it can be changed. The solution was insight rather than work or effort and the gift was holiness, bridge to heaven for healing the Earth. The solipsism thing is that I often get this feeling that I am in a Vanilla Sky scenario playing out the Divine Design. But then I do so love going over the top and the retroactive self creation of the universe is what I've always wanted. There was an excellent link to Isdom of the Wisdom Society which summarized the ideas presented at a recent UN World Summit on the Information Society. The date of that report was Dec 30th 2003, which happens to be the first day of the current Tzolkin Tun(year), Unity Crocodile, and quite cleary this is the year of the conception of Collective Wisdom. This is very well presented and a read through, with the embedded links highlighting the main points reveals that it touches on all of the major great points that all of us have been bringing up here in NCN over the last few months. Anybody here that reads through this will quickly see those parts that are relevant to their most passionate interest (just follow your 'Welcome Back Kotter' Horshack moments uhuhuhuh). There should be some mighty fine riffs coming off of this.
