Jan 22. Now a week later we have the top level celebrations on government level. A week crowded with events [link] and now TV and Radio, Music-Halls and finally KARAMBOLAGE tonight 20.00 hrs at ARTE !! full of 50 years friendship and thinkpieces..... Yesterday the youth designed the Future of regional development at Green Week. Presenting their results today to the ministers ! But did they mention vocational training? Didn't they just repeated what is in the published reports? I feel we need some more variety and genuine new views on life and the futures of youth and how to live in remote areas. I am involved since some years in Global Villages so this might help to look into what I mean: [link] Global Villages Network. [link]

What was up: The kick-off with the Green Party parliamentarians from Brussels, Paris, Bonn preparing for and celebrating 50 years friendship between Germany and France. You will probably not receive this is "domestic" European stuff/news, but you might have heard some of the names of European Parlamentarians and French Ministers before. So stay tunes as we have a tight schedule in the week and weeks to come.
Attending as INBAK [link] we presented a recycling vocational youth training project between a school in Versailles and Berlin doing another BücherboXX - the youth were also with us in the parliamentary roundtable ! See? we were sitting in circles !!!

you can imagine, already in the presentations by Daniel Marc Cohn-Bendit [link] and heads of Fractions or Parlamentarians from Brussels and Berlin, a new Agenda was comming up and continued during the reception: I spoke about Panetics and what I call an "Art of Governance" or another concrete way to compare alternatives. Not only financially but regarding the consequences and proportions of impacts, but of the results of inflcition of suffering. Maybe check Panetics and its Speakersboard. [link]

Not 50 years Peace - but a new war on the Horizon. Foreign Ministers meetings in Brussels and the light and programme of the 50 Years Elysée celebrations next Thursday.

Deutsch-französisches BücherboXX-Projekt
Zum Auftakt des deutsch-französischen BücherboXX-Projekts findet am 29. 11. 2012 17.00 in im Lycée Adrienne Bolland in Poissy der Austausch von Telefonzellen statt. Eine gelbe deutsche bleibt in Poissy und eine französische vom Typ A simple 1 kommt nach Berlin (Hans-Böckler-Schule). Ein feierlicher Akt mit viel Prominenz. Dazu demnächst mehr.

Bevor unser Wochenthema “Recycling mal anders!” heute Abend zu Ende geht, hier eine Reportage der ARTE-Sendung Tracks zum Thema umweltbewusstes Modedesign. Gedreht wurde das ganze zwar bereits vor über zwei Jahren, doch der Inhalt ist nach wie vor sehr aktuell. Überzeugt euch selbst!
Die Fans der Musikgruppe STATE RADIO lassen auf Konzerten die Klamotten fallen. Nicht im Überschwang der Gefühle, nein! Dem Aufruf der Band und der Organisation OXFAM folgend, die zur Kleider- und Artikelspende gebeten haben. In den OXFAM-Läden werden die Sachspenden wieder dem Konsumkreislauf zugeführt. Das schont Umwelt und Geldbeutel. Und die Erlöse kommen Bürgerrechtsprojekten zugute. Abgelegte Klamotten, die üblicherweise ihren Weg auf afrikanische Märkte finden und dort die lokale Textilwirtschaft im Keim ersticken, werden auf diese Art immer öfter im eigenen Land recycelt.
Kleidertausch statt Moderausch – Cloth Swapping – das neue Motto auf Partys, Clubevents und Rockbühnen.
Nachhaltigkeit durch bewussteren Konsum und sinnvolle Produktionsmethoden sind auch das Ziel von earth.re.create. Das in Graz ansässige Netzwerk aus Modedesignerinnen und Grafikerinnen versucht durch diverse Events Anstöße zu geben – hin zu einem verantwortungsvollen und umweltbewussten Lifestyle.
