We are just days away from our (now third) annual celebration of humanity known as GLOBAL LOVE DAY on Monday, May 1, 2006. This day is our collective and global symbol of a new world that is inclusive, accepting, diverse, creative and fully capable of harmonizing with one another and all life.
For many people, the outer world appears to be increasingly one where tensions are mounting, anger, greed, fear and doubt seem to be commonplace and peace is perhaps only a distant hope, yet we see a new world emerging through each of you... it is one filled with love. It is the manifestation of our GLD theme "Love Begins With Me." You are the vital link and catalyst to this transformation as we each choose to love unconditionally. No fanfare, fame or fortune... just a profound new reality.
So the latest news here at Global Love Day Central. The list keeps on growing: 84 country connections, an amazing 64 collective proclamations from around the US with still more coming, 16 country coordinators, and 22 plus worldwide community and group events. Even more exciting news! Two songs will be officially released on Global Love Day this year. Here in the US, our very own Tam Katzin along with Chad Quist are releasing their new single One With The World under the new music genre they are creating - Humanitarian Pop. And from England, we have The Dolphin Song, by Rev. Melanie Watts, which benefits the nonprofit - Operation Sunshine. Jackie Connell is the founder of this fantastic organization that brings children with special needs and their families to Bimini to swim with the dolphins each year.
