Where did you run into this extraordinarry creature?
He's quite impressive.
BTW, my superstitions include one that says that peacock feathers in the house are bad luck.
Not sure if it includes white peacock feathers though.

Well, one day there I was minding my own business when the peacock just popped up. I quickly got my camera and clicked away. Yeah right!

Someone sent it via email.

My superstitions include one that says chatting to anyone called jmarc make you go a bit doolally. :)

How was the elections? Did you vote? Who won?

8 Nov 2006 @ 13:57 by jmarc : yes I voted
And my party got trounced. So begins the great republican rope A dope of '06 - '08.
I'm amazed about how all of the stories about how the votes were supressed and how there were voting irregularities, that were blanketing the air waves yesterday have simply evaporated into thin air. LOL.
Well, this is good when we have split government here, as nothing gets accomplished.

Gridlock they call it.
Whenever there's gridlock in government, that's a good thing for the freedom loving folks.

Besides, I might have gone doolally if I'd had to read one more essay about Diebold.

Wow, I'm learning so much from you. Thank you.

"Rope-a-dope is also commonly used to describe strategies in areas other than boxing, where one party purposely puts himself in what appears to be a losing position, and then becomes the eventual victor."

From the little I know about party politics, expecting the Republicans to win is like….actually, it reminds me of a bus journey I had this morning. I could see two women running for the bus I was on. They were so far behind there was no way they were going to catch it unless they prayed for a miracle or something. Next time, I suggest you pray for a miracle; but bear in mind God is on everyone's side.

As a student I was very politically active. I would only go to a political demo if they had good gigs after. The Socialist Workers Party had the best gigs in town so I supported them whole-heartedly.

The last big demo I went to was against the Criminal Justice Bill. When mounted police turned up my friend and I decided we'd been active long enough so we took ourselves off to the cinema. I'll have you know it was a political movie; can't remember what it was about now though.

Lovely chatting to you. :)
