Last night while I was sitting in meditation, I saw a fleeting image of a hand full of vegetables that looked to me like okra. I did get a sense of the hand offering me these vegetables. I opened my eyes.
"I've just seen a hand full of okras in my mind's eye," I said to my mother.
"Okras? That's weird!"
"I wonder if it's Agnes sending me the idea for you to cook her with okras?"
(Agnes is my mother's "Bologie" vegetable potted plant that I looked after recently while she was away on holidays. I gave her lots of attention, which she loved).
"Maybe it is her," she chuckled.
"That reminds me, I haven't said hello to Agnes today. Sorry Agnes, I love you!"
Before I went back to my meditation, I wondered why I had seen that image in thought.
When I checked my email messages today, I saw one from a friend who had read the article I had written about Agnes called Unconditional Love. She was sharing a recipe for "Stuffed Grape Leaves", which she thought my mother would like to try out. I noticed the subject of my friend's message was "Go Agnes!"
As I don't know what Stuffed Grape Leaves look like, I looked it up on the Internet. Come to think of it, the "stuffed grape leaves" do look like the image I'd seen in thought. However, as I've never experienced that recipe, I imagined it as something I have experienced - okra.
This reminds me of when a friend and I were practising sending each other distance healing. She sent me peace and I received it as an image of a park with lovely flowers, which is my idea of peace.
Thank you, dear friend, for your gift of love. Your message was received and...ahem... misunderstood. (grin) I'll pass on your recipe to my mother who enjoys cooking.
