Times, they are changing. Today America voted its first black American president.

I see Obama's election from two perspectives, however: from the dream and from Reality.

What do I mean by the dream? I believe all forms and ideas are inherently empty i.e. they are free of concepts, beliefs and meanings. For instance if I hear a dog barking, I can either hear it as a dog barking, or I can make up reasons why the dog is barking. I experience that meaning in my own consciousness. Life is what I believe it means for me. In other words, I'm constantly making things up as I go along and joining with like-minds who share my meanings. When I'm making things out of nothing, I am dreaming.

Reality is the emptiness, the light of pure awareness that is free from dogma, beliefs and concepts. This Light interpenetrates all dreams. Light is actually my True Self.

Back to the Obama victory, I see people collectively dreaming they need a change from the old "order" and dreaming up a figurehead who will bring the new order into manifestation.

There are dreamers who see President Obama as an opportunity to empower, inspire and uplift those who are dreaming themselves marginalised, oppressed, and dispossessed. Speaking of which, in the television news this morning, the dream newsreader spoke about how electing Obama had wiped out a cardinal sin. She said that when Thomas Jefferson wrote:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with inherent and inalienable rights; that among these, are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness..." ~~ Thomas Jefferson on Politics & Government

...Jefferson had slaves at the time. The newsreader believed Obama's victory is not only a realisation of Jefferson's dream of equality, but an opportunity to forgive all those hurts in the American dream.

There are dreamers who see President Obama as a symbol of unity, uniting all Americans regardless of colour or creed. As I was walking to the bus stop this morning and pondering on the election results, I noticed a white guy approaching. He smiled and said good morning. I responded in kind. As he was walking away he said, "Obama, huh?"

I turned round and said, "Yeah, right."

There was nothing else to be said because at that moment we were both sharing the same dream.

I have my own personal dream, a fascination with the number 8 and numbers adding to 8, which I believe is a magic number. It's interesting how Obama was elected in 2008 and he's the 44th president. 4 4 = 8. That has to mean something, surely?

Back in the Real World of Light, it's business as usual. Light remains constant. Nothing really changes.

So what does President Obama mean for me?

Well, it all depends on whether I'm dreaming or awake in Reality.

As I see it, Love-Light is all there is no matter who the leaders are or what I'm dreaming.

I love what you say! In the end it all comes down to each and every one of us humans; what we think and how we act& behave ; our actions and non actions, over all behaviour and decicions on a moment to moment basis in our daily lives! Either we project all those Response Abilities on our Elected ones --or we take charge of our own lives...or should I say to what ever extent we do this... the less we do it, the more we look (up)to our Elected Ones to do it all for us... --or indeed-- we do it!

What has been damaged is well on the road to recovery. So, don’t pull your money and hide in a cave! It’s a proven system and the only way we know to keep the economy going for everyone. Understand that short-term products like short-term installment loans are an option for help if you happen to run into some short-term problems. Let’s not be discouraged and let's stimulate the economy.
