I was watching a singer performing last night on television and her face looked like she had on a mask. I guess with the advent of High Definition TV, make-up artists have to pile on the foundation to cover up flaws this new technology is likely to pick up. The thought of having to sit for hours to be made-up sounds like my idea of hell.
I stopped wearing foundation/cover cream and powder a while back. I figured it was about time I let my beauty shine from within with a little help from my old friends. Now I just moisturise my skin with the same baby lotion I use on my body, put on some eyeliner and lipstick, and I’m ready to face the world.
The other night I couldn’t sleep. The next morning there were huge circles under my eyes. As I don't have any cover cream to cover the lines, I had no choice but to let my Light shine through. I thought to myself: "I am overflowing with Light." Like magic, the circles filled up and I was looking radiant.
There's obviously a higher purpose to wearing as little make-up as possible: the less time I spend titivating myself, the more time I have to sleep. Hurrah!
Love and gratitude to my inner make-up artist.
