After Athens fell first in 400 BC to the Spartans for 3 years, and later to Philip, and then sundry other ruling persons, the schools of learning set up across the Hellenized world.
The light of the authors paramount continued to shine even 550 years later for the Alexandrines who continued the traditions in their own styles to add yet more diversity to the whole development of thought.
Two final themes emerge in the embers of this Art which commenced outside the walls of Troy immortalised by Homer. The themes are the emergence of Romance, Love simple and pure for the people, king and peasant alike, and the incomparable works of St John the Divine, The Revelations, for which inspiration is considered the epitome of Love Sublime and Divine. - Goddess of all three worlds
This Stotram visualises the material form of Shir MahaTripurasundari. This Mother Mahashakti abides predominantly in the forest where there are many Kadamba trees. The verses give a beautiful description of her form and energy.
Kadamba vana charinim Muni dadamba Kadambinim
Nitamba jita bhu dharma Sura nitambini sevitam
Navamburuha lochanam Abhinavambuda shyamalam
Trilochana kutumbinim Tripura sundarimashraye
Kadamba vana vasinim Kanaka vallaki dharinim
Maharha mani harinim Mukah samulla sadvarunim
Daya vibhava karinim Vishada rochana charinim
Trilochana kutumbinim Tripura sundarimashraye
Kadamba vana shalaya Kuchabharolla sanmalaya
Kuchopamita shailaya Guru Krupa lasadvelaya
Maduruna Kapolaya Madhura gita vachalaya
Kaya pi Ghana nilaya kavachita vayam lilaya
Trilochana kutumbinim Tripura sandarimashraye
…….. for four more verses
The first item of note in transcribing this verse is that it appears to follow the rhyming couplet form, a style used in ancient times in the Mediterranean. This is excepting the fourth line of the 3rd verse which has five lines altogether. The same break in pattern occurs in the following five line verses.
This song is the most beautiful one I have ever had the privilege of hearing even without comprehension of the conveying language, perhaps Sanscrit. The music totally captivates the listener and hopefully the Goddess in the Forest is impressed not just with this dedication but with the continued and constantly repeated performances too, allowing the words which implore beyond implore, absolute begettment for the Nature of all Naturalness’s never to abandon Human kind Her sustenance and Glory. This is part of Positive Liberty or Complex Democracy. These are the reasons for sustaining the effort for these two philosophies entertained by Isaish Berlin, who also explained why they would not work, by the way. But those who have taken up his thoughts as raison d’etre for foreign policy, chose to ignore his reasons for why they should not be applied en masse and have done so anyway.

This is part of paying one’s Earth Dues. This is playing a part. And this is the reason for the taking up of Positive Liberty and or Complex Democracy, it is not the easy path of life, it is the difficult one. And it is dictated to the world by groups of people who have taken it as their bible for the time being.

Some misunderstandings appear to have occurred in connection with the name in this log. The first log of my divising and which found me going through several mental manoeverings. The newness of this as yet unknown locale and dimension to my life in relation to an unknown group of people or readers seemed to demand an exactness of posturing hard to pin down. Several permutations were tried out along similar lines before the one above finally settled into its domain with out further ado.
The manoeuvrings however were not encountered with such ease. A whole life of a few decades, spanning different continents together with the adopted ones of a then-partner and now-friend were seen foremost as having a definite colonial colouration. You can take the white African out of the bush but not the bush out of the African white. A basic connection seemed a fundamental requirement allowing hopefully a broader range of topical viewpoint than without. Also it could reflect, at a glance, connotations not generally considered within the greater picture whilst being backdrop too, to statements of whatever kind so as not shock!
Le Corbusier is now accepted since the recent publishing of Charles Jencks’ new book as being really quite successful in incorporating as many as 4 or 5 coded and or symbolic meanings into the design of his buildings. These add up to cosmologicial interpretations and strive to add meaning on multiple levels simultaneously. In other words, I suppose, different levels of existence and perception are crossed or traversed and reached by the construction of ONE space for the people experiencing the buildings, a transmutation. This is not easy task, and Corb has proved himself a veritable master of the art. More >

Antique embroidery from the Aegean, continuing the thousands' year old tradition of weaving and embroidery. Weaving surely hope for safe return, or better still no campaigns at all.
Why have children if they sent to war aged a mere 20 years? What does this say for Life? and Living? What about a society where this is entrenched in its thought? How can those Mothers and Fathers take part in normal happy life?
For a long time there has been a sense that sewing and embroidery signifies and emphatic positive outlook and becomes a bit of holy talisman. And it has been similarly said and felt concerning the patchwork tradition for instance, and also the sampler, a cross stitch design of home and showing belonging in place and time, framed and placed in hallways and corridors for all to see.
